On April 7th, CyberConnect held its inaugural web3 metaverse native community call at Cyber Square, a customized space on Oasis Origin.

Community members submitted their wallet addresses through a community call announcement on Discord to gain access to Cyber Square on Oasis Origin. Upon entering, users appear as standardized "Slim" avatars, allowing them to freely interact with hosts and other users through bullet screens. **In the future, users will also have the option to display their own NFTs when entering the square**. The hosts on the main stage were Pisofa.eth and kevinlili.eth from the Cyber Community, who displayed CyberConnect's official website to users as their unique customized avatars.

The audience could apply to speak and was automatically transported to the main stage when given permission to do so. **Additionally, users' wallets automatically received Cyber Connect's airdrop upon entering the space**. The scene peaked with over 500 online users, and those who were unable to enter the space could still listen in on the Discord community call channel. These immersive social experiences are unique compared to traditional Twitter Spaces and Discord channels.

**The current tested version supports up to a thousand users on the same screen, and the space will be expanded in the future to accommodate up to ten thousand users simultaneously.** The next version of Oasis Origin Square is currently in beta testing and will feature AI NFT minting, adding a more entertaining element to users' web3 social experiences. Continuum has launched a new feature, Expert Answers, for users on the app. With this feature, learners can ask questions and view answers provided by creators and brands in video or text format, making the learning process more interactive and engaging.

With Expert Answers, learners can access expert knowledge in their fields of interest, get answers to their questions, and receive a more comprehensive understanding of a topic. Learners can view the answers at their own pace and can also interact with the creators through the chat function.

## How does Continuum new feature work?

To start using Expert Answers, users need to update the Continuum app to the latest version. For iPhone users, visit the [Apple App Store](https://apps.apple.com/id/app/continuum-freelance-network/id1583309174). For Android users, go to the [Google Play Store](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=works.continuum.insight\&hl=en\&gl=US). Search for Continuum and hit the “Update” button if available. Open the app and access the “Discover” page.

On the bottom of the screen, you’ll find a button labeled “Ask Creators”. Click it to view existing questions asked by other learners. You can read these questions, view the answers by creators or brands, and upvote the answers you like.

To ask a question, go to the “[Creators](https://continuum.xyz/blog/introducing-our-course-creators)” section and select the creator you wish to contact. Create a title, ask your question, and select up to 3 related topics. Submit the question and receive a video response from the creator or brand.

To view your questions, click on the “Chat” icon in the top right corner of the screen. You can see all the questions you asked and the video or written answers provided by creators or brands.

On 27 Apr 2023, we launched **Gabby Tweet**. Gabby will now generate personalized text-image content for your one-click tweet based on your conversation with it. This innovative feature takes your social media presence to the next level, allowing you to create and share stunning visuals that resonate with your followers. Gabby Tweet was used daily on our website with **more than 4,000 users**. We have a total of **15,093 Gabby Tweet** and **76,074 Gabby Chat** produced since launched.

On 29 May 2023, we launched **Gabby Square (Alpha version).** Gabby Square was Gabby World's latest social square platform, revolutionizing online interactions. What sets Gabby Square apart is the inclusion of AI-powered celebrities who reply to users' tweets, adding a whole new dimension of excitement and amusement. Just within a month of launching, we managed to garner **~1,200 posts** from our users.

**2. Themed Events Organized by Gabby World:**

We held our “First AI Creativity Festival” that took place from 7 May to 8 June 2023. It was a festival open to anyone who had interest or was curious about AIGC (AI Generated Content).

As we’re approaching the long-awaited NFT mint, more information will be revealed. Dev instinctively held his arms out to shield himself.

Boom!

Dev tumbled backwards in his chair and hit the floor. Alarms blared in his ear.

Dev’s eyes flew open. He was in the system control room of the Chocolate Banana Factory, where he worked.

A blast ripped through the factory and the factory floor was in chaos. Worker apes ran in terror and confusion.

As he glanced at the laptop on the floor, he noticed a fatal error he made while configuring the machine system. The mistake caused the machines to perform over their limits and resulted in an explosion.

As Dev watched this unfold in complete horror, a robotic voice rang from the PA system following a small jingle.

“All worker apes, head back to your quarters immediately! We repeat, all worker apes must head back to your quarters immediately! We will announce when all workers can return to their stations once the machinery is fixed!”

Dev got up immediately and unplugged his laptop. He held the device close to his chest as he rushed toward the door leading to the hallway. Does anyone know? This was all his fault!

As Dev turned the corner to start down the staircase, he heard rushed voices above and crouched down to hide.

Stomp, stomp, stomp. Three huge, armored muscular apes stormed alongside a suited ape. Warrior apes! Each one looked as though it could pick Dev up with two fingers. The Boss ape appeared irate as he crossed his arms against his expensive suit.

“Tens and thousands of dollars in losses! Only the Developers know how to configure the system! Find that ape and make him pay!”

Dev cowered as they marched past. He couldn’t go back to his room now!

I’ve got to get out of here.

Dev worked his way quickly down the many corridors. After working here his whole life, he knew this factory inside and out.

Reaching the back door, Dev took out his laptop to pull up the system control panel yet again.

He took a deep breath. This was his only chance, and if he fails he may be caught and locked away forever. Dev closed his eyes and the visions from the dream appeared just as vivid and magnificent as the first time.

The cosmos swirled above his head, and he felt the warmth of the light from the monolith shining on his face.

Dev opened his eyes. He felt a renewed sense of determination and confidence in what he was about to do next.

He typed the code quickly and hit enter. The locks beeped and released. There was only 30 seconds.

Jumping through the laser detectors, he slipped through the metal doors with a second to spare.

He was out! A light breeze stroked his forehead.

A banana plantation surrounded the Chocolate Banana Factory, and a river stretched ahead.

As he had no time to admire the outside views, Dev ran to the dock next to the factory where shiny yellow jetboats floated on the river. Banana boats, also known as B-Boats!

Two guard apes stood next to the B-Boats keeping watch. One yawned and the other was in the midst of playing tic tac toe by himself with a stick on the ground.

Dev approached them.

“Hey! Haven’t you both heard? All apes need to retreat to their quarters immediately!”

The guards stared blankly at Dev until Dev put on his best intimidating face.

“Do I need to repeat myself? Retreat to the quarters now - hurry!”

The guard dropped his stick and trudged towards the factory door. The second guard sleepily followed suit.

Seeing that the guards were fully gone, Dev jumped on a B-Boat without hesitation and revved up the engine. The B-Boat blasted away and off he went!

Dev turned his eyes to the monitor. The Chocolate Banana Factory appeared on the back camera view, looking like a stack of metal towers. What once was his whole world now appeared so small and foreign to him as he sped away further and further.

Out of nowhere, the sound of a second engine roared through the river.

A white ape and his shiba dog were rapidly gaining speed on their own B-Boat, coming after Dev. The dog snarled and barked as the white ape hurriedly steered the boat.

Dev pushed the turbo button on the B-Boat. His hands were placed firmly on the steering wheel.

He was not going to give up. If this is going to be a boat race, bring it on.

The Escape

“My name is Kraft. We are going to the Chocolate Banana Factory.”

The figure loomed over them, his face covered by a face shield. Just then, they went over a bump and Dev and Cookie bounced up, nearly hitting each other’s heads.

“Ah! What on earth is going on, and who are you?!” Dev demanded.

He heard the electrical motors humming. Dev squinted his eyes and looked around. They were held in restraints on the bed of a large mecha van, quickly making its way through the banana plantation.

“There’s no time for questions.” The figure spoke calmly and turned around to tinker with a drone.

Cookie looked to the front for the driver of the truck, and saw no one. Ahead, a harvester robot stood in their direct path. They were getting closer and closer. It was about to hit them!

Cookie gasped and held Chip tightly, closing his eyes. Dev braced himself for impact. Just when they thought they were about to crash, the van made a sharp turn on its own, missing the robot by an inch.

Kraft appeared amused, a faint smirk on his face.

“My B-Van requires no driver.”

“Let us go, you creep!  At least tell us why you’re taking us to the Factory!” Dev demanded.

Kraft continued to inspect and tend to his drones, ignoring Dev.

Cookie nudged Dev to point at a flyer on Kraft’s work desk. On the flyer were the words “WANTED : Escaped criminal apes with one dog wanted for Factory 8 misconduct. Hefty Reward!” Dev, Cookie and Chip’s Factory ID photos were printed on the poster.

Dev cursed. Cookie shushed him quickly.

Cookie cleared his throat. “Mr. Kraft. I apologize for my friend’s remarks, he did not mean to insult you. We come in peace. Despite what you may have seen on the flyer, we are good natured apes, ones with a dream. And by that I mean a real dream…a destination. So it isn’t really an escape but a journey, one filled with hope and friendship. You seem like a reasonable man of craft and intellect. Perhaps you would like to join us. Have you heard of the Third Continent, Mr. Kraft?”

Dev nearly choked on his spit. What was Cookie doing!

Kraft paused his activities and turned around.

“The dream. A dragon. The monolith.” Kraft muttered, as if to himself.

“You’ve seen the dream too?” Dev interjected. 

“We’re headed to the Third Continent! You must come with us Mr. Kraft, we could really use your help. But we have to turn this car around, the desert is westwards!” Cookie’s eyes grew wide and sparkly. 

“There’s nothing in the desert.” Kraft replied.

“That dream took place there.” Dev inquired.

“My drones have searched across all of our deserts. The Third Continent is not in this world.”

“Wha..” Cookie was flabbergasted.

“This is the only world there is.” Dev stated.

“I saw her.” Kraft said abruptly.

“Who???” Cookie asked, excited.

“The girl who stole our snacks. She stole from our locations all at the same time. I investigated.” Kraft replied.

Dev and Cookie looked at each other. 

Dev finally noticed the familiar factory insignia on the pin Kraft wore. “So you’re a Factory mechanic.”

“Neat-o!” Cookie chimed in. Dev gave Cookie a side eye, but Kraft had a pleased smirk again.

“My drones almost caught her, but she opened a portal and got away. Caught a glimpse of the chocolate bananas where she was headed.”

“A portal. Nonsense.” Dev rolled his eyes.

“I’ve never known anyone that could open a portal! If she could use it to travel between spaces, it definitely makes sense that she’s from another world!” mused Cookie.

“Outside of this world, there must exist technologies and gadgets far greater than anything we can imagine. In the Third Continent, I’ll build even more advanced, complex machines.”  Kraft’s steely eyes softened slightly as he said this; a statement from within.

“And I’ll be able to provide a better future for my family,” Cookie smiled.

“Is all of your family in Factory 8?” asked Dev.

“No, they are all scattered in other factories, even my little siblings. They are just kids. Every day is the same old grind for them,” said Cookie.

“Working nonstop, with no time to live or dream,” finished Dev.

“Yes! Is this all there is to it? I’ve wondered for the longest time. I want to save them and provide a better future for them.” 

There was a silent moment, as the three continued to be rocked lightly by the van.

Dev looked at his hands, recalling the inexplicable sensation of fulfillment.

He looked at Kraft, determined. “I know my way around Factory 8 inside and out, all the hidden pathways, escape routes, surveillance areas and control room. That’s how I got out. Do you really think you could get around that place without knowing this?”

Kraft fell silent for a moment. After some time, he turned his back on Dev and Cookie.

”Ok. We will work together.”

Dev held out his arms, expecting Kraft to release him.

Kraft shook his head.

“I will come back for you.”

“What?”

“But first, I must have you both captured.” Kraft replied.

Dev and Cookie could now see the Chocolate Banana Factory just a few miles ahead, quickly approaching.

Dev felt alarmed. No, not this place again, after all he did to get away!

“This is insane! LET ME GO!” 

“Dev, no!” Cookie called out.

Dev lashed out with all his might, breaking free from his leg restraints. He charged towards Kraft in a wild frenzy but tumbled as he stepped on the drone on the floor that Kraft was fixing. He did a barrel roll and nearly fell off the bed of the truck.

Kraft looked somber for a brief second, but quickly picked up his controller. His other drone promptly zapped Dev, Cookie and Chip yet again. 

The three fell unconscious.

…

Waking up still feeling small pulses of electricity yet again, this time with a wet sensation on the face and a hot, bad smell..

The interrogator’s dog dribbled on Dev’s cheek, leaving large globs of mucus-like saliva. Dev jolted up and pushed the creature away. Eughhh, hot drool!

Cookie and Chip awoke at the same time from the Warrior’s growl that shook the cell.

“Wake up! Wake up!” The Warrior ape’s large and stubby hands smacked Cookie and Chip in the face repeatedly.

The three awoke to find themselves in a large, cold gray cell in Factory 8. Kraft was nowhere to be seen, they were in restraints yet again, and now a gargantuan Warrior ape wearing a scouter towered nearby. In front of them, a short and stern looking ape with a helmet and a badge crossed his arms, while his similarly helmet wearing dog sat beside him, panting.

He marched towards Dev and Cookie as his dog followed.

“Tell me - was it you numb knuckle apes that caused the explosion?” The ape demanded.

A brief pause. “No..” Dev answered. The dog studied Dev, then barked.

“Lies!” The Warrior’s giant hand clutched Dev by the nape to lift him up in a single swoop. He tightened his grip and Dev could barely breathe.

“Okay, okay! Yes, it was me!” He sputtered. The interrogator glanced at the dog, who remained silent. The Warrior let go of Dev, who landed on the ground, coughing.

The interrogator ape locked eyes with Cookie. “Were you an accomplice?”

“No.” Cookie answered. The dog let out a sharp huff through its snout but did not bark.

“Why then, did you run away?”

Cookie was silent.

“I…wanted to take my dog for a walk.”

The interrogator dog’s ears perked up and its tail momentarily wagged at the last word, but stopped as soon as his owner threw down a death stare.

The dog immediately reverted back into work mode and barked loudly. Without missing a beat, the Warrior punched a hole in the wall next to Cookie.

“Wah!! No violence please! Ok..I had a dream..” Cookie started, awkwardly.

“This isn’t the time for a speech! Answer my question!” The interrogator ape was inches away from Cookie’s face, spitting in rage.

Chip barked at the ape and the Warrior leaned back, ready to slug the shiba into oblivion.

“Don’t hurt him! He’s just hungry, he hasn’t eaten in so long. Here…will you please just give him the mushroom in my pocket..” Cookie pleaded.

The interrogator ape laughed a deep belly laugh and walked over to Cookie, reaching into his pocket and grabbing the mushroom with his hands.

“Gahaha! You think you’re in a place to ask favors?!” he snarled and handed the mushroom to the Warrior. The Warrior put the mushroom up to his face and sniffed. And sniffed.

Suddenly, the most entranced expression filled the Warrior’s face. Seeing this, the interrogator marched over and also took a whiff.

“Hea..heavenly smell! Like the ripest strawberry and cinnamon bun dancing on a cloud of cotton candy..”

The dog also inhaled deeply, drooling and taking in as much of the delicious scent as it could. All 3 of them crowded near the mushroom like bees to a flower.

“No, wait!”

Cookie called out, but it was too late. The three of them bit into the mushroom with great vigor and swallowed it.

As soon as they tore into the flesh of the sweet smelling mushroom, they realized something was amiss. The interrogator grimaced. The Warrior’s gargantuan body froze up. The dog gagged. A bitter, paralyzing liquid filled their mouths and down their throats, quickly spreading through their limbs.

The interrogator tried to yell for his dog and the Warrior to attack Dev and Cookie but he could not do so. The Paopupu mushroom turned their body into jello and the interrogator, his dog, and the Warrior all tumbled to the floor, paralyzed.

“I was gonna say, there’s a right way to eat these..” Cookie shrugged as he looked on at the immobilized, twitching interrogator ape, now lying next to Chip.

### Cyber Restaking Points

LRT, or Liquid Restaking Token, allows users to stake their ETH to accrue staking rewards and automatically restake their ETH in EigenLayer. LRT enjoys the both benefits of staking and restaking yield, and the liquidity to explore other opportunities within the ecosystem.

2. **How do I earn points in Cyber restaking?** 
You can accumulate points by restaking LRTs. Additional points are available by referring others to restake.

3. **What benefits do I get from inviting others to restake LRT?** 
You earn extra points based on your invitees' restaking points. You'll receive 15% of the restaking points from your direct invitees and 5% from your second-degree invitees (those invited by your invitees). Your referral code can be used for an unlimited number of times.

4. **When can I withdraw LRT?** 
You can withdraw any time and keep the points and yield already earned, without any waiting period.

5. **Where is the reward coming from?** 
The reward comes from native ETH staking yield + restaking yield from EigenLayer (including rewards for running AVS to power Cyber L2) + EigenLayer points + LRT points + Cyber Restaking points.
Here’s how Cyber Restaking Points are calculated:
Any staked amount less than 2 ETH (pufETH, weETH, ezETH, the same below) can get 24,000 points per day per ETH, and the amount higher than 2 ETH can get 12,000 points per day per ETH.
For example, the points for a user restaking 3 weETH for 90 days are 2×90×24,000 + 1×90×12,000 = 5,400,000.

Introducing Cyber Restaking & Dual-Stake Model

**What is Savvy?**

Savvy is a DeFi protocol initially deploying on Arbitrum (followed by Avalanche then omnichain) that allows users to take an advance against their cryptocurrency in the form of a synthetic credit line. Borrowers both maintain the exposure of their choice collateral and gain access to immediate liquidity. Savvy harvests and auto-compounds the generated yield and attributes the yield to their loan balance, creating interest-free, auto-repaying loans.

Most other CDPs (Collateralized Debt Positions) allow depositors to use their collateral to borrow against their market value. To ensure the health of their loan, the Loan to Value (LTV) ratio must stay aligned, or the user’s crypto may be at risk of liquidation.

Savvy, on the other hand, removes the risk of liquidation. Liquidations can be avoided through our repayment model. Borrowers can repay their debt 1:1 with their original collateral or the Savvy synthetic tokens (i.e., svUSD/svETH/svBTC/svAVAX).

**How does Savvy DeFi work?**

Savvy users first deposit collateral (including USDC, USDT, DAI, ETH, and BTC) to a Savvy vault and select a yield-bearing strategy. Borrowers can mint a svToken line of credit up to 50% of the value of their collateral. Their deposited collateral is then used in the selected strategy to generate yield, and the generated yield gets attributed to the balance of the loan, effectively paying off the loan’s balance over time.

Another option for borrowers is to leave their deposit in a yield strategy, allowing borrowers to draw down the line of credit in the future. Alternatively, depositors can repay their debt early using either the base token or svToken, allowing borrowers to withdraw the collateral. Lastly, borrowers can self-liquidate their line using a portion of the collateral to repay the debt and allow them to remove whatever is remaining.

**Why does Savvy exist?**

Crypto allows anyone to enjoy financial strategies previously reserved only for those with access to traditional financial systems and strong credit history. Savvy opens this vehicle to the masses in a non-liquidating, auto-repaying fashion. Non-liquidating lending will become a compelling concept anyone can utilize. Savvy will enhance the system because of the composability that DeFi allows — making it easy to participate across various apps and services such as lending, staking, and yield farming.

**What is the SVY Tokens’ utility?**

At the core of Savvy is the SVY Utility token. The SVY token is a crucial part of the Savvy DeFi ecosystem. Jointly organized by Web3 News Media Outlet Foresight News and Foresight Ventures, a crypto investment firm, Foresight 2023 took place on 10 April 2023 at Grand Hyatt, Hong Kong, and saw the gathering of various prominent figures in the Web3 community as they shared more about their projects and their views on the future of Web3.

With around 3,000 registered event participants and 12 million online attendees, Foresight 2023 featured exciting booths from [BitKeep](https://bitkeep.com/en/index), Shardeum, Bitget, and boasted an impressive lineup of 9 on-site panel discussions.

Moderated by Darren Woo, Director of Content at BitKeep, the headline discussion featured a star-studded panel that included Alex Pack, VC Parner of Hack, Yves La Rose, CEO of EOS Network Foundation, Diego Vidaurre, CEO of The Beacon, Tomi Fyrqvist, CFO & Co-Founder of Phaver, Greg Hammer, Director of Shardeum Ecosystem and Fundraising, and Juanna, Development Manager of Gitcoin Ecosystem.

“One of the trends that we’re seeing is that gaming is becoming the entry point of a lot of new users,” Yves says.

 > “Having a seamless onboarding process, and making their first experience as seamless as possible is important. Within the GameFi space, the gamer doesn’t care about what layer 1 is in the background. What he cares about is a good end-to-end process and for it to be made simple and straightforward, and we’re seeing more layer 1s prioritize that.”

Echoing his sentiments, Diego also had this to share on his endeavours in building up The Beacon, one of the top game projects on Arbitrum: “Creativity, having a good team, and possessing a strong sense of what players actually need, is what is required to build a good game,” he says.

“We’re noticing a great shift in the realm of blockchain games where game developers are starting to put games first and blockchain technology second . Which is therefore why we are noticing a great deal of game-first projects, which is always a great opportunity for end-users, but it also sets a remarkable precedent for other developers within the space as well.”

“For now, the gaming aspect of GameFi projects still needs work,” Yves agrees. “But it was crucial for the pioneers to come in and set the foundations and building blocks for Web2 developers to come in to Web3 en masse. We are already starting to see new developers coming in with the templates to better understand how to leverage blockchain technology, but that’s because they’ve seen how past projects have done it.”

Indeed, inward funding for GameFi increased by 83% in 2022 as compared to 2023, jumping from $2.9B to a staggering $5.4B.

### Opportunities for Growth

Generating popularity in blockchain usage, however, is certainly also contingent on building up reliable and good use cases, as Alex tells us.

“Stablecoins, for instance, are important because they bring massive use cases to a lot of different users around the world, and we want to capitalize on that,” he says firmly. “We want to bring more assets online and provide users with the ability to actually utilize their funds on Web3 and on blockchain and materialize them in the real world.”

At the event, Darren also shared that BitKeep has recently achieved its 10 million global user milestone, and is currently also pushing for more blockchains to be added on to its suite of over 90 supported mainnets, and in doing so, also prime its attention towards building up a good UX for all users. Envisioning itself to be the ultimate gateway for all Web3 users, BitKeep aims to provide everything that a user may potentially need to easily access the Web3 space in all its entirety, including an integrated swap feature, OTC function, DApp browser, launchpad, and NFT marketplace.

The push towards greater usage of blockchain also perhaps cements itself upon the failures of centralized institutions that were observed in recent times, Greg posits.

“The greatest opportunity right now is generating more demand on Web3 and via applying better real world use cases. The key thing here is to try and make decentralization as accessible as possible, because the countries that need it the most are also the same countries that arguably struggle with affording decentralization. With that, the greatest opportunity for business developers right now, is to solve this natural problem – and not just what is cool or trending at present.”

Tomi, who believes that social and gaming are the two sectors that hold promise currently, stating that “I am bullish on both these fronts, because that’s where the most amount of time we spend online is at. All the building blocks are being laid out, and having a verifiable value being attached to the achievements and assets held by gamers is great.”

On opportunities, the panel also discussed how Hong Kong itself could be a viable and promising avenue towards growing the greater Web3 ecosystem.

“It is great that Hong Kong is being so receptive to crypto regulations, and this really bodes well for local communities and organizations,” Juanna explains to the panel. “We hosted a Greater China ecosystem fundraising round roughly 6 months ago, and we plan to continue hosting future rounds just like this. Additionally, we also want to implement diversity inclusion bonuses, because we want our communities to self-identify ther demographics and help them amplify that, so we are looking at perhaps implementing a Hong Kong or Greater China bonus in the future as well.”

“Hong Kong has been a melting pot for crypto usage and for crypto organizations for the longest time, and I think Hong Kong is probably one of the most important cities for crypto right now,” Yves says in agreement.

Analyzing historical trends, Diego also argues that his team has noticed a great influx of users pouring into his project from the Asian market, stating that “even though our marketing was mostly done in towards Western audiences, by sheer word of mouth, we’ve seen how an impressive 40% of our current market now lies within Hong Kong itself, as we realized that we need to focus our attention here.”

“We’ve had great opportunities with Foresight and BitKeep,” Tomi adds. “I myself perform most of my swaps on BitKeep, and we have also noticed that Hong Kong is an excellent place for crypto and for growing the greater Web3 ecosystem as a whole.”

Closing up the panel, Greg shares with us that Shardeum has been offered different opportunities to work with various investment firms in Hong Kong, and that Shardeum is also looking to set up a team within the region.

“One of the greatest analogies that I have is to always fish where the fish are swimming,” he tells us. “And Hong Kong presents itself as just that place to do so.”

Starting from this first session and working towards the last, We'll cover all you need to know in order to make the most out of your staking journey.

And like we said, our goal here is to help you understand first and then participate. So instead of talking about wallets and how to deposit etc. We'll start with something even more important.

The cornerstone of the staking world.

**Nodes & validators**

You know how in a government there are representatives, whose job is to talk to the people.
They find out what people want, collect relevant information & send it up the chain of command.

In blockchain, these representatives are called **Nodes**. And the people are users making transactions.

The term "node" has existed well before crypto. And it can be technically defined as a network point where a message can be created, received, or transmitted. When it comes to crypto, these "messages" are replaced by transaction information.

And because blockchains are decentralized in nature, they have multiple nodes supporting the network.

Most commonly, nodes can be of two kinds.

1. Light nodes
2. Full nodes

Each provides value to the blockchain in a different way. You can think of it as representatives at different levels.

**Light nodes** use the minimum amount of data possible to interact with the blockchain. Majority of the nodes on a blockchain are light in nature. They are also easier to set up & require low investment to do so.

Moving higher up, we have **Full nodes**

These store full blockchain data & can participate in the verification of transactions on top of broadcasting them.Before we continue, it's important to to note one thing:

_All validators are nodes, but not all nodes are validators._

**Validators**

Above the people's representatives, come elected ministers.They have the power to make important decisions & decide what's legal or not. Let's see how this translates into crypto terms?

Simply put, these are full nodes that validate new transactions. By doing so, they add new blocks to the blockchain. And for this, they receive a fee/reward

But like government officials, how are they selected?

Like different countries have their own election process, different POS blockchains have their own specifications when it comes to choosing validators.

For eg:

On the BNB chain, there are 29 active validators currently. These are elected on daily, using the following eligibility criteria:

1. Singular stake of at least 10000 BNB

2. Properly configured Virtual Private Server

3. Run a local full node

The top 29 nodes out of the 50 eligible ones are elected as validators in BNB

Apart from verifying transactions, validators have additional roles as well. They make network decisions such as adjusting gas fees and proposals for protocol upgrades.

To sum it up, Nodes & Validators are a critical & essential part of any POS network, keeping it stable & secure for users.

Dev pushed the turbo button on the B-Boat. He winced in anticipation of the boost, but the B-boat did nothing.

He pushed again and again frantically. The darn button was broken!

Dev tried to steer in zig zag to lose the white ape, but the ape kept up.

The white ape hit the turbo button and his B-Boat seemed to fly in the air. The boat was getting closer and closer.

Ah! I can’t be caught now!

Dev pushed another button on the console and loud electronic music blasted from the speakers.

What the - not that!

Dev covered his ears against the deafening music. He felt for the console and pushed another button.

There was a rumbling underneath his seat, and the ceiling above him parted. Boom! A rocket motor propelled the seat forcefully up and out of the boat, taking Dev with it. Dev launched into the sky like a kernel of popcorn and immediately came back down into the river. Sploosh!

Dev was quickly carried by the current, and he fought to swim against it. His head was pulled under and his breath wasn’t going to last much longer. Suddenly, he felt himself being caught by a net, which took him closer to the white ape’s boat.

Yow!

Dev landed on his face in the middle of the boat’s cabin. He tried to get up, but the white ape’s shiba dog bit his butt. The white ape walked towards him one step at a time.

That’s it, this is the end..

Dev braced himself for the white ape to attack…

“Chip, stop it!”

The white ape took the net off of Dev and the dog let go. Dev got up as the white ape grabbed him by the shoulders, his face beaming.

“Hi, I’m Cookie! And here is Chip, my sweet and loyal buddy,” said the ape as he nuzzled his dog. Dev shot Chip a sideways glance, and Chip gave one right back.

“Please! Let me go to the Third Continent with you!” Cookie begged. The ape looked young and eager, his twinkling eyes looking straight at Dev.

“How do you know about the Third Continent?”

“I was in your dream!”

“The dream? What are you talking about?” asked Dev.

“The voice - you heard the same one, didn’t you? ‘Come to the Third Continent. You’ll find what you are looking for.’”

“How do you know about that?”

“I was in the same dream! It was a rocky world with millions of stars above. I saw you approaching and I hid behind a big rock. You turned the whole world green and filled with life - It was amazing!”

Dev felt his head spinning. In a short span of time, he was chased by a boat, launched into the sky in an emergency seat and nearly drowned. And now, the instigator of all this has fished him into his boat and claimed to have been in his dream!

He looked back at the direction he came from, the Chocolate Banana Factory no longer visible. Where else could he go now though, but forward?

“I’ve heard that there’s deserts to the west of here - we can start there,” Cookie suggested. Dev sighed and nodded reluctantly, to which Cookie jumped up in joy.

They abandoned Dev’s now fragmented B-Boat and continued to travel in Cookie’s boat.

“So why are you looking for the Third Continent anyway?” asked Dev.

“That’s a great question! It all goes back, way back to how my mom and dad and siblings and grandma and grandpa and great grandma and great grandpa and my cousins and my nephews and nieces and Chip and well there are more.. but first I have to tell you about how my family…” Cookie rattled on nonstop while Chip barked excitedly.

Dev could not keep up and stopped listening midway. His eyes slowly closed and he dozed off.

The next day, Dev was assigned to steer the boat. He tried his best to concentrate as it was his first time steering the boat in a long time.

“I’ll cheer you on with my song!” said Cookie.

Suddenly an awful melody rang through the air. Cookie’s singing was so bad that Dev had to cover his ears. Cookie’s song immobilized Dev. Meanwhile, the boat headed straight towards a giant rock.

“Dev, look!” Cookie shouted.

The awful singing stopped and Dev whipped his head around to see the boat smash into the boulder in the river.

The B-Boat could not go forward for much longer. They pulled up to the nearest plantation and exited the boat for an emergency landing. The three ventured into the thick forest. 

Dev walked quickly, annoyed at Cookie. Now they’ve lost their only boat!

“Stop following me so closely! You’ll get us all caught!” said Dev as he walked even faster.

“Dev, I think these mushrooms are of the Paopupu variety, they are edible!” exclaimed Cookie.

He picked the mushrooms off of the tree and put them into his pocket, humming and singing off tune.

“What are you doing with those things?” demanded Dev.

“My grandma used to make them into a delicious soup. I’m going to bring them back to my family so my little siblings can have some! I hope they’re not hungry…” He was again in his own world.

Why did I let myself get into this? Dev sighed and shook his head. Was it really a good idea to agree to travel with this weirdo? Will we make it to the Third Continent without us all getting caught? I’m tired and dehydrated, I could really use some Gorilla Dew right about now..

Dev’s depressed thoughts were interrupted by Chip’s sudden barking. The shiba dog’s ears perked up and he dashed away in the direction of the thick trees.

“Chip, where are you going?”

Cookie called out for his dog, but Chip quickly disappeared into the dark forest.

Cookie ran towards the sound of Chip’s barks, forcing Dev to follow suit. Finally the thick trees cleared away to a field of grass.

Chip was barking and jumping up to a buzzing drone. Cookie ran towards Chip, with Dev behind him. Something seems odd, Dev thought. But before he had a chance to stop Cookie..

Dev, Cookie, and Chip were all electrocuted by a second drone hiding in the grass. All three of them fell to the ground, fainting.

Dev touched his head, groaning. His whole body still felt tingly from the electric shock. He was in restraints and so was Cookie and Chip.

Cookie reached down to gingerly lift the helmet off of the Interrogator’s dog and put it on Chip’s head. He quickly buttoned up the Interrogator’s jacket which he also took and put on his cap. An official Factory 8 interrogator badge shined on the jacket. Nearby, the Interrogator, his dog, and the Warrior lay sprawled out on the floor, mumbling in his sleep.

“Let’s go Chip!” said Cookie. Now disguised, the two started up the stairs. Cookie frowned thinking of his interaction with Dev, but he tried to brush off his sadness. He quickened his pace climbing up the stairs.

The factory is eerily empty and quiet. As they neared the top of the stairs, Cookie heard activity above, many voices, rushed footsteps and booming laughter. Cookie and Chip turned the corner into the hallway leading to the banquet hall. 

“Excuse me sir,” said two servers who pushed a large cart of silver platters, rushing to get through.

Cookie and Chip were worried they would be recognized for a second, but the busy servers seemed to take no notice. Cookie and Chip stood to the side of the room, blending in with the other staff and guards.

Cookie surveyed the ornately decorated banquet hall bustling with guests. Servers rushed about to and fro from the hall to the kitchen with carts.

At the long dining table sat many formally dressed apes engaged in conversation. These were the 13 leaders of the Banana Factory branches. The CEO of the Factories sat at the head of the table on an ornate throne of a chair, which barely held his large mass. Old and gluttonous, he looked bored as he glanced at the empty plates, his thick white mustache against a stubby finger. 

The Factory 8 Boss and Factory 6 Boss sat near the CEO.

“...and this year, Factory 8 has achieved the highest sales with our Chocolate Bananas. Has Factory 6 been faring this well?” The Factory 8 Boss gloated. 

“Of course - our Banana Fragrance has been a top item through all the seasons. A little bird told me about some Factory 8 worker runaways and a dangerous explosion recently?” replied the Factory 6 Boss while looking askance at the Factory 8 Boss.

The Factory 8 Boss looked annoyed at this mention.

“Perhaps some better management is in order..” commented the Factory 6 Boss.

“Stop chatting nonsense and start the banquet,” the CEO growled, cutting their conversation short.

The Factory 8 Boss quickly rose from his seat and tapped his champagne glass with a fork. 

“Ladies and gentlemen, we at Factory 8, the Chocolate Banana Factory, are delighted to host tonight’s annual Banquet to celebrate our yearly accomplishments. Please be assured that we will be providing a magnificent feast with utmost hospitality. A toast to our glimmering future, power and prosperity!” 

The servers and guards cheered in unison and raised their glasses in a loud toast. 

As the apes lifted their steel cloches in unison, revealing a decadent plate of banana sweets. 

The apes oohed and ahhed at the finely crafted banana cream puffs, banana shortcakes and banana macarons that adorned their plate. The Boss ape smiled smugly.

As the ape Bosses raised their dessert forks, a shining light appeared and a ring appeared on the surface of one ape’s table. Sparks flew from the ring, and when the ape looked down quizzically, suddenly a small hand shot up from within the swirling small ring.

To the Boss apes’ horror, the hand quickly snatched up the plates one by one at lightning speed, quickly disappearing into the circle of light once snatching each ape Boss’ plate of food. Guards ran to catch this mystery hand but it disappeared back into the ring before they reached it.

The servers jumped back in shock and the guards collided against each other, failing to catch the mystery food snatcher!

Cookie was stunned at the sight as well, but quickly grew excited. This must be the magic Kraft talked about!

Soon, there was not a single plate left on the banquet table. The room erupted in shock at this apparition that had suddenly stolen all of their food! 

The Boss apes looked bewildered, then uncomfortable as though they were trying to hide something. 

“Ladies and Gentlemen, please do not be alarmed, that was a performance to start our evening. We will have our plates restored shortly,” stated the Factory 8 Boss.

“What the hell is going on?” the CEO barked angrily.

The Factory 8 Boss flinched as he looked to the CEO. 

“Sir, we will investigate right away. All will be resolved.”

“And the food?”

“We’ve prepared a special unreleased dessert we’d like to present at the end of this feast, an exquisite dessert made of the finest ingredients by our top Factory 8 chefs. The one and only Banana Moon!” The Factory 8 Boss exclaimed.

The mention of this dessert seemed to appease the CEO slightly.

Just then, a server rushed to the Factory 8 Boss, looking frantic. 

“Sir, there is nothing left in the kitchen. We’ve been wiped out,” the server whispered.

The Boss’ expression of feigned calm left his face instantly.

“I don’t know what on earth is going on here, but tell the Warriors to gather all of the guards and servers, catch this thief immediately!” He demanded in a harsh whisper. The server nodded and took off.

Amongst the chaos, one server pushing a cart alone in the hallway caught Cookie’s eye. He looked strangely familiar…

“Kraft??” Cookie whispered excitedly.

Kraft spun around.

“Cookie. I haven’t come back for you.”

“We escaped! Kraft! Why are you dressed as a server?”

“I’m working,” said Kraft. His drone standing next to him was also wearing a server uniform.

“But why?” asked Cookie.

“I turned you in so I could work here and find the girl,” said Kraft. He looked at Cookie and Chip and noticed Dev was nowhere to be seen. “Your friend? ”

“He left on his own. I hope he gets out of here safely.” Cookie stated somberly, but quickly changed the topic. “That hand though! Did you see it too? What was that??”

“The hand came through a portal. It belongs to the girl we’re looking for” said Kraft.

“Oh my goodness, so she really is here! We’ve got to find her!” Cookie exclaimed.

“Unfortunately, there’s no clues as to where she is.”

“It looks like she has a sweet tooth. If we have dessert on us, maybe she’ll come back for more,” suggested Cookie.

“All the desserts are depleted…no, there’s one left.”

Cookie and Kraft looked at each other and nodded.

“The Banana Moon,” they stated in unison.

“It must be hidden in the Boss’s office on the top floor somewhere. He wouldn’t let it sit in the open..”

“Lead the way.”

After a series of winding staircases, hallways, corridors, and forks after forks - they arrived at the tall iron doors of the Boss’s office. A guard stood watch beside it. The guard glanced at Cookie’s interrogator badge on his jacket. 

“I’m here to retrieve the Banana Moon for the CEO.” Cookie stated firmly, and the guard nodded as he stepped aside for them to enter.

Entering the room, they saw that there was no one inside. The garish office was filled with over the top royal decor. A banana wine collection, cigars, and a large fireplace decked the room. A peculiar golden statue was next to the Boss’ desk. 

“Is this…the CEO?” Cookie mused.

The golden statue was of the CEO looking regal with a crown, a scepter and the biggest mustache ever.

“It doesn’t look like there’s any desserts here…just a bunch of stuff!” Cookie said as he peered inside the wine cabinet. Chip sniffed the Boss’ cigar collection.

“These bookshelves have been moved,” said Kraft, pointing to markings on the wall.

“There must be a switch,” he stated, and began to check all of the pieces in the office one by one.

Cookie and Kraft scoured the room to no avail. They poked and prodded. Cookie stuck his head out from inside the fireplace, coughing from the soot, and saw Kraft approaching the bizarre golden statue. 

Kraft observed the statue keenly.

“Be careful Kraft..I think that’s something important..” Cookie advised.

Suddenly, Kraft reached over and with both hands tugged on the CEO statue’s mustache.

“Kraft!” Cookie yelled, alarmed.

A soft rumbling sound. Chip jumped back from the bookshelf, which moved to the side to reveal a hidden staircase. 

“Let’s go.” Kraft motioned for Cookie and Chip to follow. 

The three quickly traveled down the dark stairway and a narrow corridor with a small door at the end. Kraft pushed the door with some force. A secret walk in fridge!

Cold air blew in their faces as they pushed through the door. The fridge was massive enough for all three of them to walk around freely. On the shelves, there were banana sweets of all shapes and sizes. Banana rolls, banana tiramisu, banana truffles.. All displayed prominently on black shelves and lit up by a stylish light. 

At the end of the fridge was one dessert that was especially decadent, perched on a golden dessert stand. A banana crescent moon atop a crystal glazed chocolate mousse filled with caramel and banana custard. A shimmering ribbon of finely spun diamond sugar danced around the moon. 

Cookie was mesmerized by this gem-like dessert. He had never seen such extravagance like what was displayed at the banquet, and now this dazzling dessert displayed on a stand of real gold. He thought of his small brothers and sisters who would die to try these sweets, but never could with what little they earn from the factories. He saw some banana jellybeans and put a handful in his pocket for his siblings.

Cookie was soon brought to his senses by Kraft, who urged him to pick up the dessert. Cookie lifted the golden dessert stand off of the shelf and hurried out of the fridge with Kraft and Chip. 

The three of them ascended up the dark staircase and out into the Boss’ office. No one was there, they were in the clear. They rushed out the room and quickly closed the iron doors. They turned around and ran straight into the Factory 8 Boss.

The Boss cursed and rubbed his face, then realized what Cookie held in his hands. 

“My Banana Moon!” 

“We’re headed to present it to the CEO, just like you wanted..?” Cookie stuttered.

“I wouldn’t send anyone. Hold on…you’re the runaway white ape!”

“Hand that over right now!”

“Run!” Cookie yelled and took off running with the Banana Moon, Chip and Kraft following closely behind him.

They ran down the corridor and turned a corner. The Boss and his guard were soon catching up.

The Boss sped up to try and catch Cookie. Kraft controlled his drone and attempted to zap the Boss, but the guard swatted the drone away. Kraft jumped to barely catch his falling drone and kept running.

Just when he thought he was going to be caught, a portal opened up and a small hand snatched the Banana Moon.

Cookie grabbed onto the arm and yelled for Kraft and Chip to hold on. They climbed into the portal moments before the portal disappeared. The Boss could not stop running and slammed into the wall ahead, breaking his tooth.

Cookie, Kraft and Chip were flung into the control room as the portal closed before them.

“Ow…what the heck!” A small girl ape wearing an oversized cap and leather skirt rubbed her back. Tattoos of donuts, candy and sweets adorned her arms and a plain wooden yo-yo dangled from her skirt belt loop.

Cookie and Kraft looked around the dark room lit by hundreds of glowing surveillance monitor screens. They were thrust into the control room of the Factory, which was now littered with plates, crumbs, and an assortment of banana desserts, some half eaten. Cookie held onto the Banana Moon tightly.

Cookie and Kraft looked at each other and knew this was the girl.

“Who are you? Was that portal travel magic? Is there really another world?” Cookie asked in succession.

He looked around and saw that there was no one else in the room besides them.

“Are we safe?” Cookie whispered. Kraft glanced at the surveillance monitors. The Boss was in a frenzy, ordering the guards to find the escaped apes immediately!

“There’s no one else here, I’ve sent the others away, they were being annoying,” said the girl.

“You are just a little girl.” said Kraft dryly while fixing his drone.

The girl stood up angrily and put her hands on her waist.

“I had a mid-child life crisis, I’m not just a little girl!” She glared at Cookie. “I’m Delphi the Summoner. Give me that dessert or I’ll send you all to a place that’s much less sweet. 

“You take us to the Third Continent, and we give you this Banana Moon,” said Kraft.

Delphi contemplated this offer and twirled the rim of her cap.

# Intro

Overlay Protocol is a decentralized platform built on Ethereum, and offers users the ability to build positions on a market or data stream without traditional counterparties.

# OVL (token)

OVL is the proposed native token of Overlay Protocol. It is an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum Mainnet. # Governance

As of today, Overlay Protocol is governed by Planck Cat DAO, a DAO for Overlay contributors to participate in the protocol governance via PlanckCat (PCD) NFT’s. Discussions are currently being had about OVL taking the place of governance. These discussions will be had in the appropriate channels on Discord and Forum.

1 PCD NFT equals one vote and PCD NFT holders can vote for governance proposals on [Snapshot](https://snapshot.org/#/planckcatdao.eth). Moreover, any PCD NFT holder can start a discussion on both [Overlay Discord](http://discord.gg/m2U5vSr4gD) and/or the [Forum](https://gov.overlay.market/), and then after a temperature check, can open a governance proposal on Snapshot.

PlanckCat DAO can and will decide on what markets will be listed or delisted on the protocol, as well as set protocol risk parameters which will dictate the experience for all users.

Non-PCD NFT holders can still get involved with discussions on Discord and the Governance Forum.

If community members want to actively participate in governance,they must earn an NFT by contributing to Overlay Protocol. Participation is judged by community members, and contributors are rewarded with Cred. As of today, community members must collect 1000 Cred to claim one PCD NFT. The soft cap supply of the PCD NFT is currently set to 500. More NFT’s can be minted on a one off basis once the 500 limit has been set.

# My opinion

There are a lot of defies on the market today, but I like this project because it has a warm community. I took part in a trading tournament and I can say that for the casual trader this platform is a real godsend. I even managed to trade more than 30% PNL in 2 weeks. I continue to work with the protocol and bring this alpha to the masses.

Dev ran faster as he counted in his head, making a beeline to the exit. He had successfully hacked into the system and had only 30 seconds to get out of Factory 8. 

25…24…23..

Suddenly, the laptop that Dev clutched under his arm started beeping. Dev opened the laptop with one hand while he kept running. 

“ERROR - ACCESS DENIED” blinked in bright red across his screen. Immediately, the Factory 8 alarms started blaring.

Dev stopped and fumbled to try and disarm the system on his B-Book. Just then, two guards came around the corner and were headed in his direction. They both stopped in place to observe Dev once they crossed paths.

_These are the knucklehead guards loitering near the B-Boats when I first escaped!_

“I swear I’ve seen that guy before. Is he famous?” said one guard.

“He’s wearing a scouter - he’s a Warrior,” muttered the other guard. 

“He could be a famous Warrior. I should get his autograph,” replied the guard.

Dev fixed the scouter in place on his face and grunted.

“What do you think you’re looking at! I need some fuel, go fetch me something decent to eat and be back here in 5 minutes! Hnnngh!”

Dev leaned forward to appear menacing to the guards, but just then his laptop started beeping again. Dev tried to hide the screen, but he was unable to do so before the guards took a good look.

“When was the last time we saw a Warrior with a laptop..” said the guard.

“Only Developers carry laptops..” said the other guard.

Both guards inched closer to Dev, staring and looking at him up and down.

“It’s the rose color ape!” The guards yelled in unison.

They both lunged towards Dev. Dev tried to get away, but both guards caught up to him and immediately grabbed both his arms. Dev thought this is all over. Suddenly, their grip loosened and both fell floppily to the floor.

Dev turned around, hearing a distinct mechanical buzzing sound. Cookie, Kraft, Chip and Delphi ran up to Dev. The drones continued to zap the two guards on the floor.

Kraft motioned for the group to walk further for safety. They quickly entered another set of doors to reach a large storage room. 

“Dev!!!” Cookie leapt forward to squeeze Dev in a tight hug. “I’m so glad you’re okay!” He exclaimed emotionally.

“Thanks for saving me. How did you know I was here?” said Dev sheepishly. Despite his persistence to leave on his own, he felt immensely relieved to see the familiar faces of Cookie, Chip and Kraft.

“Dev, this is Delphi - She is the Summoner that Kraft mentioned. We found her and we saw that you were in trouble from the control room, and get this Dev - Magic does exist! She can summon this…” said Cookie excitedly. Delphi wiped chocolate off the corner of her mouth as she held a half eaten Banana Moon in her hands.

“Do you still want to go to the Third Continent?” Delphi interrupted.

“We’re ready,” said Kraft.

She stepped forward and pulled out her wooden yo-yo from the belt loop on her leather skirt.

Delphi took a deep breath and skillfully launched the yo-yo from her hand with a flick of the wrist. The yo-yo shot forward and then circled above her head, creating a perfect large ring beside her from head to toe.

As the yo-yo spun, a shining light appeared and shimmering pastel sparkles in the shape of various desserts danced around. Rainbow lollipops and donuts twinkled around the trajectory of the yo-yo.

A dark, swirling vortex appeared within the sparkling ring shaped portal created by Delphi’s yo-yo maneuver. 

Delphi frowned, sensing something was different. Cookie edged closer, mesmerized.

“No, stop!” Delphi called out.

A thick, long green tentacle covered in vines snaked out from the vortex and caught Cookie by the foot.

“Waaaaaa!” Cookie cried out as he tried to escape. More giant green tentacles emerged from the vortex, until the entire tangled mass fell out of the portal. A 20ft vined green tentacle monster with dozens of arms and a fanged mouth towered over the apes.

“Help!” Cookie exclaimed, as he dangled helplessly upside down.

“Please don’t eat me. I’m not a tasty Cookie,” said Cookie.

Kraft controlled his drones to zap the monster, but the gargantuan monster was immune to the electrocution.

“Why did this monster come out?!” shouted Dev.

Delphi stood paralyzed with confusion and horror in her eyes. “This can’t be…a monster only appears when the portal fails..but this portal can’t fail.”

Chip barked and lunged towards the monster to help Cookie, but the monster’s vines swatted him away with ease.

The snaking vines reached out to grab Chip, but Dev grabbed him just in time and did a barrel roll to evade the monster.

Dev had never seen such a thing before in his life. But seeing Cookie slowly covered in hundreds of vines, he felt compelled to act. He couldn’t betray his friend again.

He crept behind the monster and saw that one small part of his back was uncovered as the rest of the vines worked to tangle around Cookie, revealing a more soft looking green flesh. Dev did not know what he was quite doing, but he took a running start to jump kick the fleshy spot with all his might.

The vine monster squealed and loosened his grip on Cookie. Cookie fell to the floor. Kraft quickly grabbed him and Delphi and pulled them away.

The monster, now enraged, quickly spun around to face Dev. The angry vines darted at him like snakes, and they came at him too quickly for him to dodge. Dev was caught by the vine arms and pulled towards the monster’s mouth.

Just then, the Factory 8 Boss and four Warriors came barging through the doors of the storage room. The bronze Warrior, missing a scouter, gritted his teeth and shot a menacing look towards Dev, Cookie and Chip. It was the Warrior from the interrogation.

“Ha! I found you!” the Boss yelled, missing a front tooth. Noticing the monster, he looked stunned, but then he took one look at Delphi and the half eaten Banana Moon and turned bright red in rage. Steam appeared to be coming out of his ears. 

“The Banana Moon!!!” He shouted as he charged at Delphi. However, before he reached the girl green vines wrapped around him, reacting to his aggressive shouting. 

“Gah! Warriors, defeat this monster!!” shouted the Boss. The Warriors cracked their knuckles and flexed gleefully. They welcomed any opportunity to partake in a grisly battle.

The Warriors charged at the monster wielding their giant baton and shields. They swung the iron batons with ease and hit the creature with strength and speed, too quickly for it to shield itself with vines. The monster flinched and released Dev, sending him tumbling to the floor.

Cookie pulled Dev up to his feet and dragged him away from the creature. The Boss was still struggling to be released, while the four Warriors kept the creature from eating him by continuing their attacks.

“Delphi, we gotta get out of here fast! You have to open another portal,” said Dev.

“I can’t get you guys to the Third Continent. I was going to bring you guys to my teacher who knows how to get there, but the portal didn’t work.”

“So you don’t know how to take us to the Third Continent?” asked Dev.

“Theoretically yes. But I’ve never been there. I have to know what the place is like to reach it.” 

“There is a desert that spreads out endlessly, under a sky of twinkling stars,” said Cookie.

“A silver dragon flying from the sky,” said Kraft.

“And a black mirrored monolith.. ” said Dev.

Chip yipped to chime in.
