- Around this time, Connext redirected its focus from state channel scalability improvements to developing an intent-based cross-chain protocol, which functioned almost identically to the intent systems we see today.
- The current bridging landscape is dominated by two technologies: M-of-N Bridges, which rely on multisigs or PoS systems to verify transactions between chains, and Intent Bridges, which utilize a series of solvers to quickly execute and settle transactions on the destination chain while waiting for reconciliation/settlement to occur using either an M-of-N bridge or an optimistic bridge.
- Beyond simple asset transfers, intent-based systems now support complex transactions like cross-chain swaps with conditional settlements, showcasing the potential for more intricate blockchain operations.
- Addressing solver liquidity issues and the complexities of rebalancing across chains, newer systems like Connext V2 have introduced mechanisms that abstract these challenges, aiming to enhance solver efficiency and decentralize operations.

In Q1 of 2021, the interoperability of programmable blockchains took off with the rise of Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and Polygon as affordable and fast scalability solutions compared to the increasingly costly Ethereum Mainnet (L1). Users would access BSC via Binance and then try to use bridges to get to Polygon, xDAI, Avalanche, and other chains directly, bypassing L1.

Given this landscape, by Q2 of 2021, Connext redirected its focus from building scalability mechanisms using state channels to creating its first intent-based system, aligning with the broader trend towards more sophisticated blockchain interactions.

# Connext’s Evolution to Intent-Based Systems

Connext initially implemented state channels to batch multiple one-to-one user interactions off-chain, with final updates being posted on-chain. This setup served as an early model for the more comprehensive intent-based systems that would follow. By 2021, it became evident that cross-chain transfers dominated Connext’s transaction volume, prompting a strategic refocus towards these systems with the introduction of NXTP (Connext V1). This version adapted Connext’s framework to better support the prevalent user behavior of transferring assets like stablecoins and Ethereum across chains, primarily for farming yields.

This shift paved the way for Connext V2, also known as Amarok, which represents the current iteration of the protocol. Amarok has built upon the foundational work of its predecessors to enhance the decentralization and efficiency of managing cross-chain transactions.

# Bridging Models and Technologies

The maturation of the blockchain space has seen the rise of two leading bridging technologies: M-of-N bridges and Intent bridges. M-of-N bridges, utilized by protocols like Multichain, Stargate, Axelar, Wormhole, and others, operate based on a multi-signature or Proof of Stake set to verify transactions between chains. Conversely, intent bridges, such as those implemented by Connext, Hop, Across, DLN, Squid, and others, rely on solvers to execute transactions on the target chain, often with reconciliation/settlement occurring optimistically or supported by an underlying M-of-N bridge.

The development of these models indicates a diversification within the blockchain space. They cater to varied user needs and enhance the functionality of cross-chain transactions.

# Solver Selection and Intent Pools

As Connext evolved from its initial versions to more advanced intent-based systems, a significant area of development was solver selection — how transactions are matched with solvers and who can fulfill them on the target chain. This process has seen various approaches from different protocols, each with distinct advantages and trade-offs.

### A Deeper Exploration into Approaches to Solver Selection

**No Selection/Mempool:** In the simplest form, transactions are made on-chain in the chain’s mempool, where solvers compete to fill them first.

- Benefits: This model offers high guarantees on latency as solvers vie to submit transactions quickly.
- Drawbacks: This model exposes transactions to potential issues like Miner Extractable Value (MEV) and can lead to wasted resources if solvers do not win the race to fill the transaction.

**Request for Quote (RFQ):** In this approach, users express their intent off-chain through a user interface (UI), and solvers respond directly with their quotes. Users then select a solver’s quote and proceed with the transaction.

- Benefits: This decentralized model is efficient for pricing, minimizing latency akin to estimating gas costs.
- Drawbacks: RFQ systems rely heavily on the stability of browser environments, which can be unreliable due to browsers lacking robust support for P2P messages. This may lead to users losing connection or failing to receive quotes from solvers. This approach also requires increased 1:1 interactivity between users and solvers, creating a liveness dependency. Similar to atomic swaps, if solvers go offline (or run out of funds/gas) after providing the quote but before completing the transaction, the user becomes stuck until a timeout occurs. Ideally, this process should involve multiple solvers (1:n) where any solver can complete the transaction.

**Private Intentpools:** This model involves intents being broadcast to a private mempool where an operator runs an auction to select a solver.

- Benefits: This approach decouples the user-solver direct interaction into a user-network and network-solver relationship, enhancing reliability.
- Drawbacks: This method introduces a central operator that could exert undue influence or experience downtime.

**Public Intentpools:** A more decentralized alternative, public intent pools operate similarly to private ones but with the added benefit of public verifiability.

- Benefits: This model uses a shared mempool that acts as a global auction or ordering mechanism for solvers, improving transparency and trust in the process.
- Drawbacks: This model makes it difficult for competing intent protocols to give up their orderflow to a public ecosystem.

Each method reflects different priorities in system design — such as speed, decentralization, and reliability — and showcases the diverse strategies employed by different protocols to optimize the intent fulfillment process in modern blockchain networks.

# Generalized Intents

The majority of conversation today centers around using intents for trading, even for cross-domain intents. This makes sense, as trading is currently the largest addressable market in the space. However, intent-based bridging does not need to be limited to transfers of fungible assets.

### Expanding the Scope of Intents

In 2021, Connext realized that solvers could provide *calldata* as part of filling an intent, and their settlement could be conditional upon that *calldata* being correct. This is just another condition upon which solver settlement is predicated. This approach allows for actions like bridging and depositing from one chain to another in a single transaction.

We found it interesting that adding arbitrary conditionality to solver settlement can lead to more intriguing behavior from solvers. For instance, UniswapX enables users to set a minimum amount to receive on the target chain for cross-chain swaps. In this model, solvers can determine the routing of the swap as long as they meet the minimum-amount-received requirement.

Adopting UniswapX’s strategy makes it feasible to expand intents further by allowing settlement conditions to be programmable. Yet, historically, this proved challenging for cross-domain intents because each chain required independent implementation of settlement conditions, posing a high risk of fund loss if not executed correctly.

# Settlement & Rebalancing

### Challenges in Solver Liquidity and Rebalancing

One key challenge unique to cross-domain intents is optimizing settlements to provide the best solver experience. Most intent systems (like Connext v0 and v1) typically settle funds back to solvers on the source chain.

Feedback from solvers indicates that this model is suboptimal for several reasons:

- Solver liquidity moves away from the chains with high utilization and towards chains where it is least useful. Solvers need to rebalance their liquidity to continue earning on it.
- Rebalancing is expensive. Solvers must bridge or transfer funds from less liquid chains, influencing their pricing quotes.
- Rebalancing is complex. Rebalancing requires solvers to engage with bridges, centralized exchanges (CEXs), OTC desks, and more, effectively building an in-house aggregator.
- Solvers can offset costs by netting A→B flows against B→A. However, they need large amounts of capital on each chain to do this effectively, giving market makers an outsized advantage on solving.

History of Intents: The Present

You probably don't fully understand some of the systems that power your life. And that's ok. You're just human. You might not fully grasp how the subway you ride to work runs or what cleans your water or delivers you high-speed internet. We often get used to the systems we rely on, which can fuel complacency with their technicalities and inefficiencies.

You engage with social graphs all the time, probably more than you even realize (or would like to). That is if you're one of the nearly five billion people who use the internet. Chances are you don’t know much about how they work or why.

Most define social graphs as [a representation of the relationships](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_graph) between people, groups, and organizations that make up the world's social networks, i.e., apps like Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Linkedin, and Twitter. If you look at an image of a social graph (see below), you'll see a bunch of interconnected circles ("nodes") which represent certain habits and interests that social networks use to connect us with others. It's like a map, but social graphs connect people instead of cities or countries and are the backbone of the modern digital social media experience. You're part of many social graphs, whether you know it or not, and they directly influence your entire online experience.

Social networks rely heavily on graphs to serve us recommended content and connections based on who's in our network. The differences between social networks’ graphs are where things really get interesting. Let's check out some of the major apps’ graphs, starting with one of the first to reimagine our entire meaning of "friend" — Facebook.

If you've ever seen the movie *The Social Network*, you might have a slight idea of how Facebook came to be and why it changed the game via a pioneering algorithm (an evolution of the code Zuck wrote on his dorm room window). What made Facebook so unique at the time was that its graph focused on connecting people based on relationships, which were initially limited to people who went to the same university. To grow one's social graph on Facebook, you had to request friends, and "suggested friends" helped recommend who you might want in your network. From there, connections could get deeper and more relevant.

Twitter's social graph, on the other hand, is all about who you follow and less about who follows you. Unlike Facebook's predominant two-directional friend graph, Twitter's is built from one-way follows. What's unique (or at least at one point was) about Twitter's graph is that you can follow others without requiring mutual consent, which is why it leans more interest-based. Chances are you don't follow LeBron James because you think he will follow you back and hit you up for a one-on-one game (but good luck if so!) — you probably love basketball and think he's the G.O.A.T.

LinkedIn's social graph isn't based on if you love cats, LeBron, or accepted a friend request from your mom; it’s all about professional connections, work relationships, and career-oriented interactions. Most people log in to LinkedIn to connect with others in their field, often hoping to land a job. As a result, LinkedIn's graph emphasizes your skills and work history to serve you with networking and career opportunities.

And, the ever-addictive TikTok. Understanding TikTok's graph will help you wrap your head around the evolution of social graphs, which have moved away from relying solely on connections versus *interests.* TikTok's unique algorithm helped influence a massive shift in how social networks measure success, attract advertisers, and retain users — it mainly serves to feed you bite-sized videos based on your interests (the mystical "For You Page"). It cares less about who you follow as it does how long you watch a video. As Eugene Wei suggested in his stellar [piece](https://www.eugenewei.com/blog/2021/9/29/and-you-will-know-us-by-the-company-we-keep) on social graphs and network design, TikTokers aren’t as interested in who follows them as they are the relevance of the content they see. If you've ever scrolled endlessly on TikTok to the point that you have forgotten the time, date, and that you start work in an hour, you would inevitably have a harder time remembering the accounts you saw as you would the content you consumed.

Now that your crash course in social graphs is complete, let's explore what people need help understanding about social graphs and how, while they might entertain us, it's often to the detriment of our online experience. This is true even if most of us don't realize it, something our friend Eugene calls "survivor bias." Like some of the everyday actions described earlier (transportation infrastructure, public goods, amenities, etc.), we often become complacent with the design patterns that "win" in society. Social graphs are no different. Most social apps rely on two things: our social graph and content feeds. But how much control or ownership do we really have over our graph and how it benefits us? Very little.

**Are you curating your feed, OR is your feed curating you?**

Just think of how long you've been on social media. Depending on your age, that could be a decent chunk of your life. Now think of all the connections you've made, the content you've created, and the communities you've helped grow. This is your hard-earned social capital, and it can be modified, censored, manipulated, or simply taken away before you know it. Reality check: this has already happened to you and continues to happen more than you can imagine. This is because you lack ownership or visibility into your graph, which is vulnerable to data leaks and hacks because it's all hosted on a centralized server, which is susceptible to a single point of failure. [Cambridge Analytica](https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/04/us/politics/cambridge-analytica-scandal-fallout.html), anyone?

Are centralized social graphs only inefficient and potentially dangerous for users or is it the same for app developers, too? If you've got a genius idea for building the world's next great social network, you're obviously going to try and figure out that secret ingredient that makes a new user stay. Well, you've got to have some existing information on them to serve any such meaningful experience, right? Back in the day you could leverage other networks' graph or API (your social data they they don't own in the first place btw). Over time, social media companies who *did* initially grant third-party applications access to their social data quickly realized they were offering their future competition a helping hand — a big “no-no” in most centralized corporate environments.

Without any real user consent or awareness, these increasingly powerful companies decided they would rather take complete ownership of users' social graphs, and the data developers could leverage to build their own potentially better applications, leading to a troublesome data and infrastructure monopoly. The billionaire tech CEOs who now hold the majority of the power over the internet, social graphs, and our data structured their applications to expand their bottom line through a restrictive user experience that locks people in and developers out.

If it seems like social graphs are all doom and gloom, know there's still hope for a better future: open-source, token-powered protocols, which flip the current business model of social graphs and social network design. In web3, traditional social networks' limitations and manipulative tendencies give way to opportunity and empowerment for users while offering developers new tools to build the social networks they want to see in the world.

In the future of decentralized social media, users don't need to be locked into centralized social graphs just because of the powers that be say so (even if it might require some serious unlearning). Open-source protocols and decentralized social graphs allow us to build social networks that work for the users and the platform of their choice, not the other way around. Decentralized social utilizes context-specific social graphs customized around our passions and interests, whether niche-specific news or location and community-centric content. For you, that could mean more relevant content, stronger connections, and more confidence in the security and purpose of your social graph. For developers, it means they can bootstrap their social applications quicker and build better business models that don't depend on user exploitation.

# **Stake Your CYBER**

Season 2 Rewards is using a point system to determine reward distribution. Stake your CYBER to accumulate points and earn extra through referrals and boosters. The current campaign started on March 8th and continues until the launch of the Cyber mainnet. You’ll be able to unstake your CYBER shortly after the Cyber mainnet goes live. ### Cyber Restaking Points

Cyber Restaking Points are designed to incentivize early stakers and communities that help bootstrap native liquidity to Cyber L2 from day one. Users can earn yield and points on their deposits, including ETH staking yield, ETH restaking yield, EigenLayer points, LRT points, and Cyber Restaking points.

As a staker, any LRT staked amount less than 2 ETH (pufETH, weETH, ezETH) will earn you double points per day. Additionally, with referral, you will receive 15% of the restaking points from your invited friends (direct referral), and 5% of your friends’ invites (2nd degree referral).

LRT, or Liquid Restaking Token, allows users to stake their ETH to accrue staking rewards and automatically restake their ETH in EigenLayer. LRT enjoys the both benefits of staking and restaking yield, and the liquidity to explore other opportunities within the ecosystem.

2. **How do I earn points in Cyber restaking?** 
You can accumulate points by restaking LRTs. Additional points are available by referring others to restake.

3. **What benefits do I get from inviting others to restake LRT?** 
You earn extra points based on your invitees' restaking points. You'll receive 15% of the restaking points from your direct invitees and 5% from your second-degree invitees (those invited by your invitees). Your referral code can be used for an unlimited number of times.

4. **When can I withdraw LRT?** 
You can withdraw any time and keep the points and yield already earned, without any waiting period.

5. **Where is the reward coming from?** 
The reward comes from native ETH staking yield + restaking yield from EigenLayer (including rewards for running AVS to power Cyber L2) + EigenLayer points + LRT points + Cyber Restaking points.
Here’s how Cyber Restaking Points are calculated:
Any staked amount less than 2 ETH (pufETH, weETH, ezETH, the same below) can get 24,000 points per day per ETH, and the amount higher than 2 ETH can get 12,000 points per day per ETH.
For example, the points for a user restaking 3 weETH for 90 days are 2×90×24,000 + 1×90×12,000 = 5,400,000.

Sequencers are at the core of a Layer 2 network, a centralized sequencer could have a negative impact, such as censoring user transactions, creating a single point of failure, and creating harmful MEVs. Cyber L2 utilizes EigenLayer’s [Actively Validated Services](https://docs.eigenlayer.xyz/eigenlayer/overview/key-terms) (AVS) to build up the fundamental decentralized infrastructures such as sequencer, verifier, and CyberDB. Staked CYBER and restaked ETH are utilized as delegations to different AVS operators running these infrastructures, and a slashing mechanism is implemented to ensure operational integrity, optimize performance and maximize network security.

**A:** You can accumulate points by staking CYBER tokens. Additional points are available by referring others to stake CYBER. Participation in our community events and attaining retroactive community status can also unlock various booster levels.

**Q: What benefits do I get from inviting others to stake CYBER?**

**A:** You earn extra points based on your invitees’ staking points. You’ll receive 15% of the staking points from your direct invitees and 5% from your second-degree invitees (those invited by your invitees). Your referral code can be used an unlimited number of times.

**Q: When can I unstake CYBER?**

**A:** You can unstake your CYBER shortly after the launch of the Cyber mainnet. The unstake process, which is at a CYBER holder’s discretion, will take 21 days. The Cyber mainnet is planned to launch simultaneously with the EigenLayer mainnet, targeting the second quarter of 2024.

**Q: How are CYBER Season 2 Rewards distributed to stakers?**

Dear CyberConnect community members,

On 01/09/2023, our peers in the community brought to our attention a slip-up in the first proposal at Cyber DAO. Although we acted quickly to void the proposal, it wasn’t fast enough to quell the rumor mill of crypto Twitter, which filled the market with fear, uncertainty, and doubt around CYBER. We take full responsibility for this mistake and are introducing safeguards in place so events like this are never repeated again. We assure the community that the rumors regarding CYBER token manipulation and market control triggered by incorrect token circulating supply are unfounded.

With this statement, we want to communicate with you directly and clear the air around this volatile and rapidly changing situation.

Since early this week, we have seen a surge in demand for CYBER in Korea. Due to the major Korean exchanges currently only supporting deposits and withdrawals of CYBER on Ethereum,   this dynamic, unfortunately, seeded a precarious market situation, creating unprecedented price differences in CYBER across exchanges. As almost every other exchange around the world ran low on CYBER supply on Ethereum, we noticed concerns and complaints from the CyberConnect community about CYBER’s availability in the markets. Therefore, we introduced **[CP-1] CYBER Multichain Liquidity Balance** proposal in Cyber DAO to address this volatile situation and make access to CYBER equitable and fair across exchanges.

The proposal had one objective - to optimize CYBER liquidity across three networks (ETH, OP, and BNB) by deploying a bridge and addressing the significant imbalance of token distribution among users and exchanges. The proposal was intended to contain the undesirable situation where CYBER on ETH has a large premium versus CYBER on BNB Chain or CYBER on OP, and ultimately make the price discovery for the token more efficient. Unfortunately, there was a slip-up in the proposal addressing the currently unlocked amount of CYBER in the community treasury, causing confusion and ultimately requiring nullification. The most updated state of CYBER unlocks and circulating supply is readily available on this [Dune](https://dune.com/cyberconnecthq/cybertoken) dashboard.

To be clear, a bridge, as proposed in [CP-1], remains the best available avenue for the CyberConnect community to ensure a healthy balance in token liquidity across the three networks on which it is deployed. This bridge will allow us to ensure this healthy balance without unlocking any new CYBER or altering the token’s current circulating and total supply. CYBER on Ethereum, Optimism, and BNB Chain is the same token, and with no mechanism for bridging, will always remain vulnerable to precarious market conditions, as we have witnessed in the past couple of days.

Here’s what we’re going to do to rectify this situation and ensure this is never repeated again:

**1.** A new, updated proposal will be introduced in Cyber DAO to receive the community’s sanction for a bridge so CYBER can be bridged freely across Ethereum, Optimism, and BNB Chain. The proposal will have a multiple-day voting period to allow for proper review and discussions.

**2.** An external, reputable expert will be appointed to conduct a security audit for the bridge before being deployed to ensure the maximum safety of community treasury funds.

**3.** This [Dune dashboard](https://dune.com/cyberconnecthq/cybertoken) has been set up to provide a clear view of CYBER’s total and circulating supply at all times and the multi-sig wallets where the unlocked tokens are held.

# What is Gabby World?

Dev the pink ape coughed and sputtered as he pushed through the swirling sandstorm.

There was nowhere to go but forward. His laptop lost many miles ago, he now had only himself to rely on.

He was not sure if this was the right way, but knew in his heart that he was getting closer to what he is seeking.

The storm dissipated.

Dev dusted himself off and took a deep sand free breath. It was night time now and a hush fell upon the dark, empty lands.

He made a window with his fingers and peered through, looking up at the sky.

“This is unreal...”

What  looked to be a brilliant starry cosmos of swirling comets and bright  stars sprawled out endlessly above. He felt the sensation of cool rock  at his feet and looked out towards a rocky and barren terrain of dry  cliffs and valleys.

Several  feet ahead, a towering monolith stood on its own. Smooth and black, the  monolith gleamed as if to beckon Dev to come closer.

“Come to the Third Continent. You’ll find what you are looking for.”

An unknown voice filled the earth and Dev’s mind.

Who was that? What’s the Third Continent? He stepped forward in the direction of the monolith.

He  saw himself reflected against its mirror-like surface. A pink ape of  average height and looks, a bit downtrodden from the routine of life and  work, a slightly pudgy underbelly from an affinity for soda.

The  mirror-like surface began to wobble. His reflection wavered and  distorted, now forming a new ghostlike image of Dev. The images were  visible but wispy, as if made of clouds.

The  same ape now sat in a spacious, stylish room in a high rise condo,  playing the latest game in front of a wall to wall widescreen TV. Comic  books lined his bookshelves and his high tech fridge announced with a  happy jingle that it was fully stocked with Gorilla Dew. Reflection Dev  turned towards Dev, cracked open an ice cold Gorilla Dew and raised the  bottle towards him with a smile. He took a long swig, reclining in his  gaming chair.

What a life! Dev walked faster towards the monolith, watching himself live a life of pure indulgence.

As  Dev approached closer, the images began to warp once again. The Gorilla  Dew soda in the monolith swirled around and faded away to a green blur.

“No…” Dev’s shoulders dropped in dismay. The dream life had dissolved.

Slowly, a new image rose up, this time much more vibrant and clear. Dev let out a small gasp at the sight.

A pink ape sat at the computer, fervently typing with a look of quiet determination in his face.

As the pink ape entered more code, something was happening outside of the monolith.

A  swirl of neon colored signals and nodes began to spin around above  Dev’s head across the sky. Stars boogied and the galaxy twirled in an  electrifying dance. The cosmos buzzed, bounced, and grew as more code  was entered into the computer.

Dev  was entranced by this magical occurrence in the sky, when he heard the  sweet chirping of birds. He looked down to see the once rocky planet now  transformed into a lush green world of flora and fauna.

With  rapid strokes on his keyboard, the pink ape in the monolith created a  new world. He looked identical to Dev, but his eyes had a new light to  them, a certain fire. He lived with purpose and a dream. He was a  Developer, like Dev, but his actions created synergy.

The  ape’s fingers typed even faster and with each line the swirling cosmos  grew more vibrant and alive. A glowing white light poured out from the  pink ape as he worked, the shining beam now streaming outside of the  monolith and illuminating Dev.

Like  a moth to a flame, Dev took more steps forward, the light triggering an  outpour of emotions. Wonder, excitement, a bit of fear, hope,  curiosity, and another feeling he had no name for.

What was this new self doing, and how could he get there?

He took more steps towards the monolith, now almost completely engulfed by the light.

Dev reached out towards the monolith.

This necessitates a unified, self-sovereign, and decentralized identity that transcends the limitations of traditional tech giants. CyberID provides a solution to this.

Each CyberID is a tradeable ERC-721 NFT representing your social identity in web3. It acts as an alias for your various blockchain addresses, providing a simplified, human-readable handle instead of a string of alphanumeric characters — much like your username on Instagram or Twitter. CyberID makes the experience of navigating through the web3 space seamless by mitigating the complexities of managing multiple addresses on different blockchains. In simpler terms, CyberID is a way to create a single, unified identity for yourself on the blockchain. 

### How to mint your CyberID

Each CyberID is available on a demand-based one-time payment model. For a limited period, we’re offering 100% cash back on your handle purchase amount in the form of gas credit (SmartGas) to your CyberAccount.

The cost of minting your CyberID is determined by the handle length you select. Shorter and more distinctive handles incur a higher price. For example, if your chosen CyberID is **tom.cyber**, which is 3 characters long, the fee would be $1000. Each character you add or remove adjusts the fee, allowing you to choose a CyberID that fits your persona and budget.

**Step 1:** Create a CyberAccount (skip if you already have one)

- Visit [wallet.cyber.co](https://wallet.cyber.co/cyberid?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=cyberid&utm_term=cyberaccount-cyberid&utm_content=CyberID+-+Your+Web3+Social+Identity), and you’ll be prompted to connect your EOA wallet, such as MetaMask.

- To initiate the connection, click on the 'Connect' button. This will bring up a list of compatible wallets. If you don’t have a wallet yet, find one that is available in your region [here](https://ethereum.org/en/wallets/find-wallet/).

- Select your wallet provider. A pop-up from your wallet will ask for confirmation to establish the connection with [wallet.cyber.co](https://wallet.cyber.co/cyberid?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=cyberid&utm_term=cyberaccount-cyberid&utm_content=CyberID+-+Your+Web3+Social+Identity).

**Step 2:** Proceed to Mint Your CyberID

- Once your EOA wallet is successfully connected, locate the 'CyberID' tab on the left-hand sidebar. This will direct you to the CyberID minting page.

- A menu will appear with two options: ‘Mint’ and ‘Claim.’ Make sure you select the ‘Mint’ option to create a new CyberID. If you previously held a CyberProfile (now deprecated), you can ‘claim’ your previous handle.

**Step 3:** Choose your unique CyberID handle

- Enter your desired CyberID handle, which will be displayed as [your handle].cyber. For example, if you choose the handle ‘tom,’ your CyberID will be displayed as tom.cyber.

- Review the minting fee, which will be automatically calculated based on the length of your chosen CyberID handle. This fee will be displayed in USD and payable in ETH on the OP Mainnet network.

*Note: Before proceeding, double-check that your signer wallet has enough ETH to cover the minting fee. Remember, this transaction occurs on the OP Mainnet, so that’s where your funds need to be.*

Phaver, the leading social app on Lens Protocol, has announced a new way to reward some of its over 50,000 weekly users with the first native on-chain rewards, the Phaver-Up NFTs. These “Phaver power-ups” have a utility built into Phaver’s gamified social system and will also reward some of the early users holding it with preferential access to future launches.

Some of the native benefits for the holders include one of the highest Cred and Point reward categories on Phaver, access to exclusive features and a gated Holder Community with access to support and alpha insights from the Phaver team. New benefits will be added frequently, making these NFTs extremely beneficial for their holders also in the future.

The Genesis Edition of Phaver-Ups has been capped at 2000 free, tradeable, ERC-721 NFTs, available on Polygon in cooperation with Magic Eden. The distribution will happen in a series of weekly whitelists on Magic Eden as well as airdrops to key contributors and winners of weekly Phaver Points -based auctions that provide the first opportunity to redeem the in-app currency for rewards outside the app.

The exact ways to be eligible for either an airdropped NFT or participating in the highly coveted weekly whitelist will be announced in posts from the official @phaver account on Phaver and Lens, but, overall, high-quality social activity and connecting all your on-chain assets to your Phaver profile are some of the key ways. While a large share of the NFTs will be granted to early users as a thank-you for being part of the journey before others, there are also many opportunities to qualify as a new user.

*In the first phase, Phaver has been honing our in-app gamification to be highly resistant to bots and farming, and now we are ready to start rolling out on-chain reward mechanisms with full custody and liquidity, starting with the Genesis Phaver-Ups to reward early believers*, says CEO of Phaver, Joonatan Lintala.

In Phaver’s gamified social economy, users are rewarded for connecting wallets and e.g. completing a privacy-safe proof-of-personhood facial scan, with credibility, or “Phaver Cred”. This helps keep multi-accounting at bay and rewards users for building their own social graph by connecting all their on-chain assets in one place.

Besides Cred, users also earn Phaver Points that will be the main source of future on-chain rewards. Points are earned by creating high-quality posts as well as helping others discover them by Phaving, which rewards users for selecting their favorite posts each day as long as others agree, building a new kind of decentralized content discovery mechanism.

The first batch of Phaver-Up NFTs will be airdropped to Phaver-connected wallets of some early contributors soon, followed by the minting of the first batch on [Magic Eden](https://magiceden.io/launchpad/polygon/phaver_up_genesis_edition) on 10th April 4 pm UTC by whitelisted early users who will be notified about eligibility via Phaver app push notifications 1 day before the mint. Since our last CyberLetter, we're thrilled to report a successful Pilot Round of our Cyber Ecosystem Grants Program. During our 12 day application window we received dozens of submissions, 30+ which passed initial screening.

**CYBER Staking & Rewards** 🔗 🤝

In March, we announced the [CYBER staking program](https://cyber.co/stake). Since then, we’ve made astonishing progress on our staking program and distributed significant rewards to our community:

- Over 3.7 million CYBER (worth ~$35M) has staked. 📈
- Cyber restaking was launched, enabling users to deposit Liquid Restaking Token (LRT) assets from [Renzo](https://twitter.com/RenzoProtocol) (ezETH), [Puffer Finance](https://twitter.com/puffer_finance) (pufETH), and [ether.fi](https://twitter.com/ether_fi) (weETH), to earn Cyber Restaking Points. ♻️
- Over $1.6M in rewards have been airdropped to early participants of the CYBER staking program. In early April, [Polyhedra](https://twitter.com/PolyhedraZK) distributed 333,333 ZK tokens (worth $1M) to CYBER stakers, followed by a second airdrop by [SpaceID](https://twitter.com/SpaceIDProtocol) of 833,333 ID tokens (worth over $600K). 💸
- In addition to our other ecosystem airdrops, 1,666,000 EARLY tokens (worth $35k) were distributed in a [special First Come First Serve airdrop](https://mirror.xyz/atticc.eth/BWpdRsHVU9_kRk1KiJt2Wr3U_ywCyFDHWALCBJod4Ck) exclusively for members shared between [Atticc](https://twitter.com/atticc_xyz) and our communities to 1,000 CYBER stakers who are also [EarlyFans](https://twitter.com/earlyfans_xyz) users. 😏
