Princess Cicely, Teppan, Cookie, Chip, Tor, Delphi, and Rex fell onto a cold floor.

“What is this place…?” said Tor, standing up. He looked around and took in the surroundings.

In the darkness, neon cyan spots of light glowed on and off along smooth metal walls, illuminating a seemingly endless corridor.

Teppan soon stood up as well. He turned to Cicely to make sure she was alright.

“Look, the trapdoor!” yelled Delphi, pointing to the ceiling. A faint square of light shone above from where they fell, it rapidly faded away to nothingness. The trap door had disappeared.

“It’s vanished!” Cicely called out.

“I‘m here to protect you. Don’t worry, Your Highness,” reassured Teppan.

“If there’s a way in, there has to be a way out,” said Tor.

“My teacher once said an ordinary portal can’t reach Arancia. Does that mean if a portal was made here, it would fail?” asked Delphi.

“You are a Summoner, huh?” Tor sized up Delphi. “Our border is sealed. Any portal that tries to reach Arancia is doomed to fail. So is any portal that is opened within our borders.”

“Need to go back to the Factories!” shouted Rex.

“Big guy…we’ll probably have to wait. It appears there’s no easy way out,” Delphi mused.

“Let’s find a way!” Rex yelled.

"Wait...Master's portal is no ordinary portal, she must have the ability to penetrate Arancia's borders....Maybe my portal to Master was trying to reach here, and that's why it failed." Delphi hesitated for a moment. It was as if her sense of responsibility and her laziness battled back and forth a hundred times in her mind. But finally her sense of responsibility prevailed. She turned to Tor and asked, "Do you know a Summoner named Sage? Is she in this world?"

"An outsider? Impossible, the people of Arancia have been educated for eighteen years to put an end to outsiders entering. As such, no outsider can easily infiltrate the kingdom. Outsiders who break in will be severely punished. You are all lucky to have met Her Highness, or else…" Tor trailed off.

The group decided to follow the neon cyan lights that stretched through the dark, with Rex in the back guarding the group and Tor leading the front. Cicely, Teppan, Cookie, Delphi and Chip took their places in the middle of this small convoy. They began walking.

The area appeared to be a maze, with many forks and turns.

“Is this a secret world?” Cookie asked. As he marched, he stuck his arm against the wall and traced his finger against it. A faint, neon cyan trace of light glowed where his finger touched.

“Woah!”

“We can use the wall to mark where we have traveled,” said Tor.

Cookie was busy drawing stick apes on the wall.

As they walked, Cicely mused on the events that had just transpired. Her head was spinning.

“There is so much to Arancia that I don’t know about. I feel like I don’t even know my own home anymore. There must be some misunderstanding about Outsiders.”

“Why are Outsiders banned?” Cookie asked.

“It goes back to the Great War eighteen years ago, a war in which Arancia was forced to join to protect our people and our Crimson Fruits ,” replied Tor.

“Crimson Fruits?”

“Yes, it’s a magical fruit that can be grown only in our kingdom. Food made of the Crimson Fruit, when consumed, allows one to gain magical abilities. It is because of this that many Arancians possess magical skills.”

“Then we came to the right place! Can we learn magic here?” Cookie said.

“That’s exactly why the Outsiders were keen on trading with us. We used to trade the Crimson Fruits freely with other worlds in exchange for their resources, but too many worlds grew greedy with more lust for power. They made unreasonable demands. We overplanted Crimson Fruits. The environment was ruined and the Crimson Trees withered. When we finally refused to export our Crimson Fruit, the other worlds threatened to invade Arancia and destroy our kingdom.”

“And then, the Great War…” Cicely’s voice was soft.

“We won the war, but it came at a terrible cost. Many tears were wept, much blood was shed. The last Crimson Tree eventually withered. Things were never the same. We vowed never to make the same mistake again and closed off our kingdom from all Outsiders. Since then, we have continued to live and rule peacefully within our borders,” said Tor.

“That’s terrible! Since the Crimson Trees have all withered, is there still magic here?" Cookie asked.

"Now, there is no more Crimson Fruit. Only the apes who ate the dishes made of the remaining Crimson Fruits can wield magic." Tor said.

Cicely looked at her wand, and Teppan studied his magic wok.

Delphi perked up.

“Look, there’s something ahead!”

The apes walked forward to the end of the corridor and found themselves on the edge of a cliff. A chasm, with no bottom in sight, stretched for about a half mile ahead of them to another cliff with a narrow path that led straight to a door.

“We gotta get over there!” said Cookie.

“I don’t think we can fly over,” said Teppan.

“We have magic!” Cookie asked eagerly. “Teppan you must know some magic to get us over there.”

“I do know magic, but it doesn’t...”

“Could you use your magic to make a bridge appear?”

Teppan laughed at Cookie’s simple thinking. He waved his magical wok over his head dramatically.

“Abracadabraaaaa. Yep, I made it,” he chuckled.

“Awesome!!!”

To Teppan’s surprise, Cookie took off running towards the cliff.

“Wait, no! I didn’t mean –”

It was too late. Cookie stepped off the cliff and was about to fall.

Teppan lunged to try and save him, but he could not reach him.

The group gasped. Chip barked.

Cookie did not fall. Instead, he ran across the cliff and into the air, as if he were floating.

“You did it, Teppan! Magic is awesome! Look at me guys~!”

Cookie jumped up and down in the middle of the empty space between their cliff and the other side.

“I didn’t do anything. It wasn’t my magic,” Teppan said in disbelief.

“What’s happening?” asked Delphi.

“It looks like the walkway was already there, but invisible. The only way to make it across was to trust that something would be there to hold one up,” Tor said.

“Let’s go,” said Cicely.

The rest of the group followed suit, walking on the invisible pathway. They soon reached the door all the way at the other end.

Neon cyan light, the same as in the corridor, twinkled around the edges of the door mysteriously.

“This might be the exit!” Cookie said. Tor nodded, and carefully pushed the door open.

The group entered, and upbeat chiptune music rang in this new space.

They stood in what appeared to be a neon cyber sports arena with stadium seats.

A hologram teddy bear greeted them, blowing a toy tuba for fanfare. She had a brown fuzzy body and small twinkling black eyes the size of peas.

“Toodoodledoo! Hi friends, you’ve made it! Welcome to BoboBear’s virtual world! :)”

The bear hopped around and danced with a hula hoop.

“Thanks for coming all this way. Now that you’re here, we can play a game! :)”

“A game...?” asked Teppan.

“It’s a super fun, slippery slidey game - cyber hockey :) You will be divided into two teams. First team to score three goals wins! Remember to have fun, and always look out for each other. :)”

BoboBear smiled happily.

“I’ve always wanted a bear like this,” Delphi could not help but walk over and try to squeeze BoboBear.

BoboBear spun away. “The team that succeeds in not losing will be able to leave this place,” said BoboBear.

“What happens if we lose?” asked Teppan.

“The losing team gets to join our BoboBear family :),” BoboBear pointed to the stadium seats facing the arena. It was filled with small BoboBears. The bears jumped and clapped in anticipation, making gleeful sounds, yet none of them seemed to be able to speak.

“Losers of this game will all be transformed into BoboBears…and there is no turning back..?” asked Tor.

“We are a forever family! :)” said BoboBear.

The group gulped.

“This is preposterous. We’re not going to fight each other so that the other group will be turned into plush bears,” said Cicely. “As the Princess of Arancia, I demand that you drop this game.”

“We are a forever family! :)” said BoboBear.

Teppan tried the door they came through. It didn’t move. He picked up the magic wok in his hand and banged on the doorknob desperately. The magical wok absorbed the impact and emitted a faint, gradual gleam. Teppan lifted the wok up again, and this time, magical patterns on the bottom of the wok all lit up. He slammed the wok down on the doorknob with a loud "bang!" The whole arena seemed to shake. Teppan tried to open the door again, but the handle had disappeared.

“It looks like we’ll have to play this game for any of us to get out of here,” said Tor.

Teppan turned and twirled his wok. He would play to get the Princess out safely.

Rex roared. He was ready for the challenge.

Cookie and Cicely looked at each other, worried. Was this really going to happen?

Delphi sighed but nodded. They had to play the game.

BoboBear waved its short bear arms around excitedly. Suddenly, the group found themselves in skates, wearing jerseys, and holding hockey sticks.

Cicely, Tor, and Teppan were on one side wearing red jerseys that had a wok insignia on the front. Teppan stood in front of the goal.

Cookie, Delphi, Rex were in blue jerseys that had a cookie insignia. Delphi took the spot of the goalkeeper.

“Let’s begin! :)”

Cicely wobbled in her skates due to nerves. Teppan, taking notice, reassured her.

“Princess! This is just like the soccer games we used to play as kids! We’ll have no problems.”

“If it’s anything like those, we should be worried - you tripped in every game!” said Tor.

Teppan shot him a mean look, to which Cicely laughed. Her shaking stopped and she began skating with more confidence.

Cookie had the puck first and passed to Rex. Rex skated aggressively towards the goal, but was blocked by Cicely and Tor. He reluctantly swung at the puck to pass it back to Cookie.

The puck flew like a missile towards Cookie and hit him in the gut before he could even react.

“GUH!” Cookie fell over from the impact. Chip yelped and tried to run to Cookie from the stadium seats, but was held back by the mini BoboBears.

Tor scooped up the puck skillfully and passed to Cicely, who skated swiftly to advance towards Delphi.

Delphi, unable to keep up with the speed of things, waved her arms around frantically.

“No, no!”

Cicely aimed and hit the puck which glided past Delphi and into the net.

The mini BoboBears erupted in cheers. Fanfare rang out.

“One point for the Red Team! :)” BoboBear called out through the megaphone.

Cicely took possession of the puck this time, and passed it to Tor.

Rex, frustrated, tried to shove Tor out of the way.

“BEEEP! No shoving! Red Team gets an automatic point! :)”

The mini BoboBears booed and shook their heads.

Cookie, Delphi, and Rex groaned. How could they let this happen! Chip whimpered.

It was the last point. Cookie nervously passed to Rex, who took a vigorous swing.

The puck hurled towards Teppan, but he was quick and skillful. He deflected the oncoming puck with his magic wok.

The puck ricocheted and flew back onto the floor, which was scooped up immediately by Tor.

Tor passed to Cicely, who skated up to Delphi.

Delphi cowered and looked helpless. She wasn’t ready to turn into a BoboBear! If she turned into a bear and ate a gummy bear, isn’t that cannibalism? Maybe she couldn’t even have another dessert in her life…She closed her eyes and thought of her sweet memories before they disappeared.

Cicely got ready to swing…

Then stopped.

“Your Highness, you can do it!” called out Teppan.

“I can’t!” yelled Cicely. She stood still, then let go of her hockey stick.

“I can’t. These Outsiders helped me. They saved my life. I can’t let them turn into BoboBears. I’m quitting this game. If they are turned into BoboBears, then we all will.”

“But Your Highness…I can’t have you turned into a BoboBear. ” Teppan insisted.

“If I sacrifice our friends to get out of here, what kind of Princess am I? There is honor and decency I have to uphold.”

Teppan sighed and dropped his sticks. So did the rest of the apes.

_Womp womp womp_. A strange fanfare rang out. The BoboBear hologram appeared in front of the apes.

“So you’re all quitting the game? Red Team is sacrificing their points?”

Cicely nodded.

On the scoreboard, the 2 points under Red Team went to 0. The score now read 0-0.

The group held hands. Cicely shut her eyes tight.

_If only I hadn’t gone out to the forest so foolishly on my own. I wouldn’t have gotten everyone in this mess. I’m sorry Father. I’m sorry Mother…_

Nothing happened.

A new door appeared.

“If both teams give up, neither team loses,” Tor stated.

“Toodoodledoo. That’s correct.” said BoboBear.

“Without any losers, nobody gets turned into BoboBears.” said Tor. “And you did say…look out for each other…”

“Yes. :)”

The audience of mini BoboBears stood up and erupted in dance and applause.

Confetti rained from the ceiling. Above the hologram of BoBoBear appeared a shiny disco ball.

“Wha- but we didn’t…” Cicely stammered.

“The real goal of this game was to play together! Like what this gentleman was saying, look out for each other, that’s the rule of the game. Now, please go through this next door. Bye. :)” BoboBear waved.

The group of apes finally relaxed and let out sighs of relief.

Cicely moved forward and pushed the door open gingerly.

She gasped as she saw a very familiar face.

“Why are you here?”

This scaling solution enabled dApps in the CyberConnect ecosystem to attract over 1.6M profile sign-ups and enable new content tokenization primitives on networks beyond [Ethereum](https://ethereum.org/en/) Mainnet, like [BNB Chain](https://www.bnbchain.org/en) and [Polygon](https://polygon.technology/). By utilizing this hybrid solution, dApps could store users’ high unit value social data like profile, content, and collects on-chain while utilizing decentralized storage systems like Arweave for the rest. This crucial design implementation enables web3 social dApps to support various use cases without being restricted by limited blockspace.

Over the last 11 months, these upgrades helped engage over 1.3M unique wallets to execute 14.7M on-chain transactions on the CyberConnect protocol. In addition to 2.5M follow actions, 5.8M likes, and over 10.5M NFTs minted, more than 1.6M unique content was created across our rich ecosystem of social dApps, including [Link3](https://link3.to/), [Phaver](https://link3.to/phaver), [ReadOn](https://link3.to/readon), etc. Thanks to our dedicated community of users and developers, their engagement in the past few months has propelled CyberConnect as a top 10 contender on [DappRadar](https://dappradar.com/) across all networks and categories.

CyberConnect V2 also set the stage for soulbound tokens in web3 with W3ST (web3 status token, pronounced as west), enabling over 2,400 organizations, including [CoinMarketCap](https://link3.to/coinmarketcap), [PoolTogether](https://link3.to/pooltogether), [Maverick](https://link3.to/maverickprotocol), etc., to recognize and reward their most engaged and loyal supporters as proof of participation in those communities.

### Inside a Resilient Web3 Social Network

Since we’re building in public, our challenges have been visible far and wide. This has also helped us learn in public and iterate the CyberConnect protocol in real time to meet the demands of web3 social users and developers.

Even though CyberConnect V2 has been deployed on the Ethereum Mainnet, BNB Chain, and Polygon, it is simply not feasible to operate on multiple chains simultaneously due to the risk of fragmenting user identity. On top of this, it’s still remarkably complex to switch between blockchain networks as a user. Not to forget, even if they somehow tread along and become a seasoned web3 user, they need to acquire native tokens through a fiat on-ramp, CEX, or a bridge for every particular blockchain!

With these challenges top of mind, we returned to the drawing board and re-engaged with the first principles of decentralized social network protocols.

A resilient web3 social network protocol:

1. upholds a user’s holistic identity;
2. is multi-chain; 
3. abstracts away the complexities of network switching; and
4. is scalable.

**Current Challenges**

The primary challenge in introducing CyberConnect to multiple chains is to decouple different functions of a “user identity” to uphold a holistic identity.

The word ‘Identity’ is often overused but widely misunderstood. At first glance, it is a unique identifier that differentiates one person from another. However, in the added context of social networks, identity serves two crucial functions: authentication and authorization. Much like a username/email and password in web2 help validate a user and their ownership of an account, a web3 identity relies on a private key/seed phrase and cryptographic signatures to do the same. Furthermore, a social identity is like a database of a user’s social journey and constitutes important social events/actions like the content they create and engage with. In web3, Identity also needs to have a unique human readable identifier (abhi.cyber or abhir.eth) tied to it. Finally, users’ public information, like display name, bio, and avatars, is part of that same identity. While these are all distinct components of a web3 identity, they all have very different functionalities and properties.

CyberConnect V2 coupled them in an all-encompassing non-transferable ‘CyberProfile.’ Even though CyberProfile holders could change their public information like bio and avatar attached to their profile, they could not change their authentication method (EOA wallet) or username/handles after acquiring their identity.

But, much like updating your username, email, or phone number in web2, users in web3 must be able to change their authentication identity to enhance security or if their original credentials are compromised. Not only this, users must also have the flexibility to change or trade premium usernames without losing the rich history of their social journey.

Unfortunately, this is a much harder challenge to overcome. Then, if you add another difficulty of expanding a modular identity infrastructure to multiple blockchain networks, the complexity of this challenge escalates exponentially.

Fortunately, we’ve found a solution.

### Web3 Social's Multi-Chain Future

CyberConnect V3 consists of a set of powerful upgrades to the CyberConnect social network to usher web3 social into a new, multi-chain future. This upgrade will power the next stage of hyper scalability for web3 social dApps and give users a social networking experience that feels familiar to web2.

V3 has three core components: CyberAccount, an [ERC-4337](https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-4337)-compatible identity infrastructure; CyberGraph, a censorship-resistant database to record users’ content + social connections; and CyberNetwork, a gas-efficient and scalable network to bring CyberConnect to the world.

### CyberAccount

CyberAccount is a suite of smart contracts that collectively represent a user’s self-sovereign digital identity, linking it to their content and social connections. This web3 account infrastructure comprises 4 key components, each with a different purpose:

**Authentication & Authorization**

CyberAccount is commissioned with defining the workflow for user authentication and authorization on the CyberConnect protocol.

Each CyberAccount is controlled and managed by one or more cryptographic key pairs, thus enabling a clear distinction between a user’s account and their web3 wallet. Through our collaboration with [ZeroDev](https://zerodev.app/), we incorporated this crucial design implementation that sets the stage to power several powerful primitives. This includes social recovery for cases of identity/private key loss as well as email, social, or phone login options for a seamless and familiar onboarding experience devoid of the need for seed phrase management.

Our team at CyberConnect is passionately committed to empowering users’ rights to privacy. We will therefore introduce an additional upgrade to CyberAccount in the coming months utilizing zero-knowledge proofs and privacy computing technology.

**ERC-4337 Compatible**

CyberAccount is ERC-4337 compatible, meaning it abstracts away the complexities of network switching and gas payments for end users. We worked closely with [StackUp](https://www.stackup.sh/) & [Pimlico](https://twitter.com/pimlicoHQ) to deploy an in-house bundler and paymaster solution, allowing us to improve the clunky user experience of web3 wallets and implement third-party-designed mechanisms to pay for users’ transactions. These kinds of transactions may also be called gasless transactions, and they’re crucial to level up the end-user experience. Without a bundler and paymaster, users would need to manually change networks every time they interact with a profile or content from another blockchain and acquire the blockchain's native token in their account to pay for transactions.

The paymaster allows CyberConnect protocol, the underlying network, or any given web3 dApp to pay for transactions on users' behalf, thus opening up a whole new level of possibilities for mass user onboarding and supercharge platform bootstrapping.

On CyberConnect, users will also be able to top up their gas credit from a network of their choice and use that credit on any other chain CyberAccount is deployed on, truly taking web3 social multi-chain.

And yes, [$CYBER](https://link3.to/cyberconnect/post/d430762b4c4a220decb9e8875db78f9af741699774d483d11b9c7203b1582e36) will eventually be used as the gas token across the protocol.

**CyberID**

Much like your username on Instagram or Twitter, CyberID is an ERC-721 token that represents a unique handle for your account in the CyberConnect social network.

Unlike most ERC-721 tokens, registering/minting a CyberID does not imply perpetual ownership. CyberID functions upon a demand-based recurring fees model. If you forget to extend the registration of your handle, it is released to an auction process.

During the growth phase of the CyberConnect social network, a portion of the CyberID registration fees will be refunded to the CyberAccount as $CYBER token in the form of gas credit.

**Organization Account**

Web3 social is not just for individual users. It’s also for teams, organizations, and brands to connect with their audiences and build meaningful, contribution-based communities. Link3, a web3 social network to build and discover new communities, is the biggest dApp within CyberConnect by user activity. It is loved by web3-native teams across blockchain networks for their community management needs. To push the potential of CyberAccount one step further, we’ve designed a powerful new way for organizations to embark on their web3 social journey. The organization account is a special kind of CyberAccount that provides advanced account management features such as multi-sig and customizable access control rules.

Additionally, the CyberConnect social network protocol provides a robust verification infrastructure that allows any third party to verify external accounts (e.g. Twitter, Discord) associated with the org account.

### CyberGraph

In web2, social graphs represent the connections between users, their content, and interests. They are a key data set social network platforms use to capture attention and increase user engagement. However, social graphs have recently become more of a limitation for users and developers due to their rampant centralization by big tech. To offer an alternative, we’re introducing CyberGraph, a decentralized, censorship-resistant, and user-owned alternative to power the next generation of social networking platforms on the internet.

CyberGraph is a set of smart contracts that links user identities (CyberAcconts) to their content and social connections and enables the recording of that rich social data onto multiple EVM-compatible blockchains. Through CyberGraph’s unique, customizable middleware design, storing users’ high-unit value social data on blockchain databases unlocks several novel social networking and community-building primitives, including monetization through tokenization.

**Content**

Every user with a CyberAccount is already equipped with creator capabilities and can publish monetizable content. When a piece of content like a post, image, or video is first created on a dApp on the CyberConnect protocol, it is uploaded to a decentralized storage system like IPFS or Arweave, following which a link between the URL of the content and the creator’s account is recorded on the CyberGraph smart contract. This decentralized account-to-content linking is foundational in guaranteeing true user ownership and removing centralized control from any one platform.  It is a critical step in facilitating online communication on the open web to prevent a corrupted/disincentivized platform from monopolizing and manipulating content distribution.

CyberGraph also sets the stage for the next stage of growth for the creator economy, empowering artists and creators to offer new experiences to their fans/audience by making their content collectible. Each collect signals a fan’s support of a specific piece of content or creator with a permanent record on the blockchain. Creators can use this engagement information to identify their earliest or their most engaged supporters and tailor their rewards or growth campaigns accordingly.

Additionally, every time a user comments on a piece of content on the CyberConnect social network, a link to the original content is established on the smart contract, ensuring content sovereignty and provenance. Users can also amplify the original content by sharing posts, images, videos, etc., much like in web2.

**W3ST**

One of the most community-loved features of CyberConnect V2 is W3ST (Web3 Status Token, pronounced as West). It is a non-transferrable NFT with on-chain issuer reference that acts as a digitally verifiable indicator of a user’s status in their community. It is a powerful instrument for users to find their tribe in web3. Organizations use W3ST to recognize their most engaged and loyal supporters and therefore build a digitally verifiable, immutable, and contextually meaningful contribution-based value system in their communities. W3ST is also instrumental in growing communities because it helps identify potential members with similar interests, affiliations, and past experiences.

We are thrilled to share that W3ST is now more gas efficient and even more discoverable. Instead of every W3ST as its unique ERC-721 contract, organizations will now utilize a singular ERC-1155 smart contract to save gas and empower their members with better discoverability on NFT platforms.

**Subscription**

Connections are the fabric that weaves online social networks; creators should be able to monetize the relationships and friendships they've garnered from their content and social capital. On CyberConnect protocol, subscriptions are designed to enable self-sovereign monetization of creators' communities.

In V3, users must set up their subscription logic with a predefined monthly fee to enable subscriptions. When your audience subscribes to you, they would need to prepay at least one month of subscription fee. With Subscription, creators can easily monetize their exclusive pay-to-reveal content.

**Middleware**

CyberGraph follows a middleware architecture to create more design space for customized logic. Middlewares are plug-and-play custom execution logic codes that run before and after an action trigger to extend the default behaviors in social networks.

CyberConnect provides a repository of middleware for developers to use by generalizing common computational patterns. For example, imagine that dApp *A* wants to build a social network for [Bored Ape Yacht Club](https://boredapeyachtclub.com/#/) by setting the condition that only BAYC holders can mint their app-specific ContentNFT, and dApp *B* wants to do the same thing for RTFKT’s [CloneX](https://clonex.rtfkt.com/) holders. The underlying pattern here is the same; the only difference is the gated ERC-721 contract address.

We invite the developer community to contribute to this repository and help us build a wide range of reusable middleware together. Dapp developers can pick and choose the relevant ones to plug into their dApp easily.

### CyberNetwork

Blockchains were designed for a decentralized, transparent, secure, and immutable system for recording and verifying information. However, actually storing data on existing blockchains is expensive. So, even though representing social data on the blockchain is good for programmability and interoperability, high gas costs are an incredibly challenging bottleneck for scaling web3 social networks to a billion users. In the last 11 months, over $2M in gas fees was paid by 1.3M users on CyberConnect V2 alone. Users need a better alternative that is dramatically scalable without compromising their data ownership.

In the coming months, we will introduce additional upgrades to the CyberConnect social network to make all social interactions/transactions much cheaper.

### **Roadmap**

CyberConnect V3 will be available for use in the coming days, beginning with Link3.

In the coming weeks, we will officially roll out the upgraded CyberConnect social network to multiple L1 and L2 blockchain networks through an exclusive launch campaign with Link3 called, **CyberVoyage.** We invite web3 teams across ecosystems to join us. More details will be shared soon.

It is unique in so far that it’s decentralized, meaning that it is open and permissionless for both users and developers. For users, it means that we remain in ownership and control of our data and can take it from one app to another without being locked into one ecosystem. For developers, it means that we don’t need to ask for permission from anyone to build innovative experiences or applications and can compete with others purely on the grounds of better service.

CyberConnect is compatible with EVM-compatible blockchains. There exist a variety of ‘clients’ on the protocol, like Link3, Phaver, and Mocaverse. **✧** A Merkle Tree for the Community Rewards: Season 1 will be deployed on chain.

**✧** To claim, your CyberAccount must first be deployed on Optimism and have gas to execute the transaction. If you have not deployed your CyberAccount on Optimism yet, you can do so on the [rewards page](https://cyber.co/rewards).
