Before the revolution of web3, what we saw and even what we thought we like are being monitored and controlled by the recommendation system. Not to mention the limitations we faced because of how closely it connects to the real world. Finding a space without constraints or obstacles so that we could discover who we truly are was challenging.

As the putative next generation of the web's technical, legal, and payments infrastructure — including blockchain, smart contracts, and cryptocurrencies (Cambridge), the Web3 world is rapidly evolving, and as it does, individuals are being empowered by more control over their data and assets. All of these imply that we gained more access to rediscover who we are in the coming future. In order to help people adapt to the new world, Hangout is aiming to build a Web3-native metaverse where people can hang out together to explore, build and identify themselves.

Now, Hangout is more towards the game part of the virtual world where users can engage with NPCs, play labyrinth games and escape rooms, among other activities, to earn HOPO (our temporary utility token, which will be replaced by HANG). The majority of these interactions take place off-chain. However, users can use the HOPO to buy on-chain goods like NFTs, WL, USDT, and other things at the Hangout Shop. To satisfy the requirements of certain projects or festivals, we do, however, tailor various types of quests.

By the middle of April, the World Quest 2.0 system and identity badge system will be available, and users will be able to earn HOPO and NFT badges for both their on-chain and off-chain engagements. These interactions would take place in Hangout or would be forwarded to partnered protocols and dApps.

The identity badge system won’t be possible without CyberConnect’s social graph protocol.
