Cyber Mainnet offers multiple options for CYBER holders to earn rewards and engage with the network by staking or providing liquidity.

If you participated in Season 2 CYBER Staking, you need to claim your rewards. These can either be staked for additional rewards (500k CYBER over the next 3 months) or claimed on Cyber Mainnet.

This step-by-step guide covers various activities including staking, claiming rewards, unstaking, and bridging, so users can effectively navigate the options available on Cyber.

It is worth mentioning, the CYBER token is now active with the LayerZero OFT standard. However, the bridging UI is still in development. The LayerZero bridge, which will enable transactions between supported networks (ETH, OP, BSC, and Cyber Mainnet), is expected to be live soon. We are currently finalizing it and plan to launch a new bridge UI for transferring CYBER across chains next week. Stay tuned for more updates.

### How to Bridge Gas (All Season 2 Participants)

1. Go to[ Cyber.co Bridge](https://cyber.co/bridge).
2. Connect your wallet (Metamask, Rainbow, or Coinbase Wallet).
3. Ensure you're on the network from which you wish to bridge. 
4. To switch networks, select **“Bridge ->”** in the top-right corner, choose your network in the pop-up, and then click **“Bridge to CYBER.”** 
5. Enter the amount and click **“Deposit.”** Follow the wallet prompts to complete the bridging of ETH for gas to Cyber Mainnet.

We took part in a notable global web3 social hackathon hosted by BNB Chain and CyberConnect that took place from 7 Feb to 9 Mar 2023, which had attracted over 2,000 applications around the globe. Out of the 2,000 applications, we emerged and were awarded “Rising Star of Connected 2023”. Since then, we have worked closely with BNB Chain, CyberConnect and other project winners like ReadOn to discuss insights and partnerships.

On 27 Apr 2023, we launched **Gabby Tweet**. Gabby will now generate personalized text-image content for your one-click tweet based on your conversation with it. This innovative feature takes your social media presence to the next level, allowing you to create and share stunning visuals that resonate with your followers. Gabby Tweet was used daily on our website with **more than 4,000 users**. We have a total of **15,093 Gabby Tweet** and **76,074 Gabby Chat** produced since launched.

On 29 May 2023, we launched **Gabby Square (Alpha version).** Gabby Square was Gabby World's latest social square platform, revolutionizing online interactions. What sets Gabby Square apart is the inclusion of AI-powered celebrities who reply to users' tweets, adding a whole new dimension of excitement and amusement. Just within a month of launching, we managed to garner **~1,200 posts** from our users.

**2. Themed Events Organized by Gabby World:**

We held our “First AI Creativity Festival” that took place from 7 May to 8 June 2023. It was a festival open to anyone who had interest or was curious about AIGC (AI Generated Content).

Using AI tools like Midjourney and Blue Willow, we encouraged participants to use their NFT characters from other projects and combine them with our Gabby NFT characters to create one-of-a-kind blended visuals.

Here at Plant Crossing we are actively exploring adding more social features to the user experience and Web3 social is a key component of the project. Plant Crossing joined  Connected 2023 - A Web3 Social Hackathon by BNB Chain and CyberConnect , and we collaborated with CyberConnect to integrate the ‘ccProfile’ feature into the Plant Crossing in-game App. ccProfiles now become the representation of users’ identity in the Plant Crossing ecosystem. Plant Crossing is excited to be part of the Web3 social revolution and as we target real mass user adoption for the game and Web3, Web3 Social will be the key.

In the Future, we will integrate more features from CyberConnect. The following is the plan:

- Content - Post: Plant Crossing will allow users to post their rare Botan or Land NFTs through their ccProfile. Each Botan or Land NFTs could be shared on social media through ccProfiles. Developers can use Post API to manage the user’s social data such as comments, likes, posts, etc. This could track user’s activities and give rewards to those active users who have better influence. Optionally, posts can be turned into EssenceNFTs for collection.
- SBT/Badge - non-transferable EssenceNFT: Users who complete our specific in-game tasks could win an SBT/Badge that represents their loyalty to Plant Crossing. SBT/Badge will be airdropped to users’ in-game wallet once he/she completes our specific tasks. The developer can utilize the CyberConnect protocol’s EssenceNFT to represent Plant Crossing’s in-game SBT/Badge.
- Connection - Follow: Users can follow other players and visit their NFT exhibition including Lands and Botans. That means Plant Crossing has more social attribution to bring users together to connect, compete and earn.

Plant Crossing is targeting both Web2 and Web3 users, with an optimized user experience for non-crypto users to better convert them into Web3. In the early stage, a special Tribe mode will be introduced first with tribe tasks and tribe tournaments for players to earn useful items and valuable rewards. In the case of CyberConnect, we have the following categories of contributions: Social Twitter Engagements, CyberConnect Protocol Engagements, Referral, and Previous Contribution.

### Twitter Engagements

- You will need to connect and verify your Twitter account before proceeding.
- Engage with Tweets by @CyberConnectHQ within that week or create content and mention @CyberConnectHQ. Come back to check and claim the points.

### CyberConnect Protocol Engagements

CyberConnect is a decentralized social graph protocol. Different dApps, Link3 being only one of them, build on top of the protocol and leverage different protocol components. Social data and identity on CyberConnect protocol are shared across dApps in the ecosystem so no matter where you are, all the engagements with the CyberConnect protocol will stay with your ccProfile identity and contribute back to the protocol.

Go explore different apps built on top of CyberConnect and experience all the fun Web3 native social features. Play and earn points through the following contribution activities:

- Collect an EssenceNFT

- Comment

### Referral

Every FanClub member has a unique referral link that can be used by new members to join. For each successful referral, both the referrer and the referee will receive extra FanPoints as rewards! Additionally, the referrer will get 10% of the referee’s earnings in the FanClub. Please note that the referral rules are subject to change for anti-bot purposes.

### Previous Contributions

There is also an additional category of special contributions:

- Historical Engagements: one-off points to claim based on your previous verifiable contributions such as the amount of W3STs claimed in the past and Twitter engagements in the last 30 days.

## FanPoints

For every completed contribution, you will be assigned FanPoints(FP) to claim. Connect your wallet on the FanClub page and check on each contribution for the eligible points.

### **Levels and Total FanPoints**

Points claimed will accumulate on your FanPass as Total FanPoints and you will move up the levels accordingly.

Level testifies to your total standing in terms of contribution to the community over time. This is one of the most key info that communities distinguish actual core long-term contributors from mere window shoppers. Expect this to have significance down the line.

### **Caps**

FanPoints vary by contribution. And for those contributions that are not one-off, there might be daily or weekly caps to the total points claimable from that activity.

- Contributions with daily caps.
- Currently, points for every CyberConnect Protocol Engagements contribution are capped for every day. It refreshes at 0:00 UTC every day.
- Contributions with weekly caps.
- Currently, points for every Social Twitter Engagements contribution are capped for every week. It refreshes at 0:00 UTC on every Sunday.

## Rewards

Finally, if the contributor has already claimed more Mystery Boxes from earlier distribution, they will not be eligible for additional rewards. For example, Bob has claimed 6 Mystery Boxes from earlier campaigns but also qualified for Tier 2. They will not receive additional Mystery Boxes in this season of Community Rewards.

### **How to Claim**

Community Rewards: Season 1 is the first rewards program on **Optimism** with account abstraction.

**✧** Your total rewards allocation is calculated by combining eligible NFTs in your CyberAccount and your EOA wallet used to interact with CyberConnect protocol. For example, Mini Shard claimed on Polygon with your CyberAccount + Mini Shard won through FanClub on Link3.

**✧** A Merkle Tree for the Community Rewards: Season 1 will be deployed on chain.

We are excited to announce some changes to our weekly Fan Club raffle system that are designed to protect the interests of our long-time community members and Link3 users. Before delving into the details of the new system, we would like to take a moment to address our community.

Since the launch of the CyberConnect Fan Club, our goal has been to reward our dedicated community members and long-term supporters. Unfortunately, we have consistently encountered Sybil attacks that have led to an unfair distribution of the reward pool.

For instance, address 0x82…43a4 has funded gas fees to over 1,700 addresses in early April, allowing each address to easily purchase seven raffle tickets every week. Without intervention, this Sybil account could have amassed over 11,000 tickets and won 5,000 mini-shards from the raffle every week.

As a solution, we will now divide the reward pool into a Main Pool and a Side Pool, and introduce a Credit Point system to differentiate human users from bots. Users with 24+ Credit Points will have access to the Main Pool and will be able to share the majority of the rewards.

We acknowledge that this is not a perfect solution, and we appreciate your patience and support as we work to implement additional changes to ensure a fair distribution of rewards. # **Calculation of Credit Point**

- Link3 profile completion (total 1.67) 
-Added avatar, display name, basic info +1.67
- Gitcoin passport passing score (total 100)
- Paid CyberProfile (total 3.34) 
-CyberProfile length is less than or equal to 12 characters +1.67
-CyberProfile length is less than or equal to 6 characters +1.67
- Link3 event W3ST holding (total 6.68) 
-Hold 10 W3ST +1.67
-Hold 50 W3ST +1.67
-Hold 100 W3ST +1.67
-Hold 500 W3ST +1.67

If your total Credit Point is equal to or larger than 24, your raffle tickets will automatically join the Main Pool. Otherwise, your raffle tickets will join the Side Pool.

For Week 9’s raffle, the Main Pool will have 70% of the total rewards, while the Side Pool will have the rest 30%.

1. Step 1: Go to Gitcoin Passport and get your passing score.
2. Step 2: Click the refresh button after signing on Gitcoin to reveal credit points
3. Step 3: Upgrade Gitcoin stamps to reach 24+ points and join the weekly raffle to get main pool tickets.

During the weekly raffle, we'll evaluate your credit points and allocate your tickets to either the main pool or the side pool based on whether you have more or less than 24 points.

You will see a “main pool” tag if your tickets are counted in the Main Pool.

After raffle participation, we will take a snapshot and reassess each participant's credit points to finalize the allocation of the main pool and side pool tickets. This process will help us identify and filter out users who may be exploiting multiple social identities for Sybil.

[CyberConnect](https://cyberconnect.me/)は、大量導入とネットワーク効果のためのアイデンティティ主権による、最初の分散型ソーシャルグラフ・プロトコルです。

みなさん、こんばんは。私はCyberConnectとLink3のグロース（成長）責任者、Royです。元々は中国出身で、過去9年間アメリカに住んでいます。2021年の初めにチームに参加し、ゼロからコミュニティをスタートさせました。私は、プロジェクトマネジメントとマーケティングという非技術的なバックグラウンドを持っています。

チームについてですが、私たちはシリコンバレーを拠点とするシリアルアントレプレナーチームで、Berkeley/NYU/Google/Facebookでの経歴を持っています。2017年、同じチームがLinoブロックチェーンを設立し、ブロックチェーンベースの最大のライブストリーミングプラットフォームである[DLive.tv](https://dlive.tv/),を構築しました。DLiveのデイリーアクティブユーザー100万人以上を達成し、№1 YouTuberのPewDiePieと独占的に提携しました。LinoとDLiveは2020年初頭にBitTorrentに買収されました。

### Q：CyberConnectを紹介してもらえますか？既存のソリューションが解決できていない問題を解決できるのでしょうか？また競争上の優位点は何ですか？

CyberConnectは、マスアダプションとネットワーク効果を目的としたID主権型の分散型ソーシャルグラフプロトコルです。ユーザーの分散型アイデンティティの要となるプロファイル（ccProfile NFT）を作成することができます。

CyberConnectでは、ユーザーは自分のソーシャルグラフ、コンテンツ、マネタイズチャネル、ソーシャルデータを所有し、新しいプラットフォームごとにネットワークを再構築することなく、複数のdAppsをシームレスに渡り歩くことができます。

Web2のソーシャルプラットフォームは、ユーザーデータを搾取し、自らの動機を優先する、中央集権的な利益追求型の事業体となっています。彼らはユーザーのソーシャルグラフデータを所有し、より良いプラットフォームへの乗り換えを妨げ、革新的で新しいソーシャルプロダクトや機能の妨げとなるクローズド・プラットフォームを作り出しています。

その結果、公平な参加の欠如、不信感、制限されたデジタル体験がもたらされます。ユーザーは自分のデータに対するコントロールや所有権を持たず、コンテンツクリエイターは不釣り合いな報酬しか得られていません。

CyberConnectプロトコルは2021年11月にローンチされましたが、実は最初に公開されたソーシャルグラフプロトコルなのです！ 2023年3月20日現在、CyberConnectは680kのユーザープロファイルと400kの月間アクティブユーザーを持ち、380万件以上のトランザクションが行われています。

そして、その数字はまだ伸び続けています。

2023年、私たちはCyberConnect上に構築した強固なエコシステムの構築に焦点を移しました。BNB Chainと共同で開催したWeb3ソーシャルハッカソンも無事終了しました。また、Notifi、Lit、Livepeer、XMTPの各社にもご協賛いただきました。世界中から約100のチームが集まり、CyberConnect Protocolを使った次世代のソーシャルdAppsを構築しました。Demo Day（デモ実施日）には、最終的に23の受賞プロジェクトが発表され、およそ5万ドルの賞金を手にしました。彼らのアプリはとても刺激的で、多様なユースケースと楽しい体験をカバーしています。Web3ソーシャルの未来は、私たちと一緒に作っているこれらのプロジェクトによって、文字通り定義されつつあるのです。

私たちはすでに最初のユーザーを集める段階を過ぎたと思います。誤解を恐れずに言えば、特にWeb2のソーシャル大企業と比較すると私たちはまだ超新参者です。一般的に、Web3におけるコミュニティのパワーは過小評価されがちだと思うのです。だからこそ、Link3は、ソーシャルメディアアプリというより、コミュニティハブやツールのような存在なのです。私たちは、これからもコミュニティを構築し、より多くの人々をWeb3ソーシャルに参加させるつもりです。

## コミュニティ質問の内容まとめ

### Q： 日本人のユーザーの印象を教えてください。

これは興味深い質問ですね。個人的には、日本の文化や食べ物が大好きです。日本にも2度訪れました。

Web3に参加してから、私たちのコミュニティや他のプロジェクトで、多くの日本人と知り合いになることがわかりました。

SFには日本人創業者のコミュニティもあり、日本の親友も何人かいます。

なので、端的に言うと皆さんが大好きです❤️

### Q：今後Cyber ConnectはどのようなジャンルのDapps開発に注力していくのでしょう？

正直なところ、私たちもよくわかりません。Web3のソーシャルプロトコルやDappsは、どれもユースケースやユーティリティを見つけるのに苦労していると思います。私たちは、コミュニティハブとしてのLink3が、ユーザーと組織の両方にとって必要なものであることを発見し、完成させました。

今後も、人々が実際に使い、楽しむことができる製品を作ることに注力するつもりです。ただ、「ソーシャルネットワーク」という部分には、よりフォーカスしていくことになると思います。

### Q：CyberConnectの社員数はどのくらいですか？

フルタイムのチームメンバーは約28名です。そのうち、約18名がエンジニアや技術職です。

### Q：他に似たようなプロジェクトがたくさんありますが(lens等)それらのプロジェクトよりサイバーコネクトはこれは負けないという強みがあれば教えてください

まず、競争は悪いことではありません。特にWeb3では、多くの共同努力を必要とする壮大なビジョンに向かっているのです。LensやFarcasterのようなソーシャル・プロトコルの仲間も、同じようなビジョンに向かって、異なるアプローチで構築しているに過ぎないのです。

CyberConnectには、オンチェーンとオフチェーンの両方のデータコンポーネントがあります。「フォロー」や「いいね」のような取引価値の低いやり取りについては、データは現在Arweaveに保存されており、本稼働時にはBNB Greenfieldを活用することができます。有料購読や有料コンテンツのコレクトのような取引価値の高いインタラクションでは、これらのデータはスマートコントラクトレベルの相互運用性と開発者のアクセス性のために現在オンチェーン（BNB Chain）に保存されています。

***In [Part 1 ](https://link3.to/superscrypt/post/da13cc67d3cb9f459cd4fef6796f2610dbd88f03df88b8b6780638f20570ebec)of our 3-part series on Interoperability we examined the current state of blockchains and the growing importance of interoperability between them. Bridges have been the go-to method to transfer assets & liquidity between chains but have also been the subject of billions of dollars in exploits & hacks due to the trust assumptions underpinning their operation.***

***In this part we explore an emerging approach to Interoperability - where asset bridging can be facilitated through trust-minimized verification of a blockchain’s latest state using Consensus Proofs. Is this the future of bridging and who are the teams building on this?***

### **Introduction**

In [Part I](https://link3.to/superscrypt/post/da13cc67d3cb9f459cd4fef6796f2610dbd88f03df88b8b6780638f20570ebec) we covered the concept of blockchain interoperability and how it will only increase in importance as alternative L1s, L2s and appchains emerge. The large amount of capital moved on bridges makes them attractive targets for hackers and in 2022 we saw $2.5b lost to multisig and smart contract vulnerabilities. Of all exploits that occurred that year, a staggering[ 69% were related to bridges](https://blog.chainalysis.com/reports/cross-chain-bridge-hacks-2022/).

At the heart of these losses were failures at **Verification** step of bridging, where the trust mechanism used to verify transaction validity was underpinned by humans & multisigs:

- Ronin’s bridge was secured by a 5 of 9 multisig. 4 validators were operated by one party and compromised in one go, making the 5th an easy trigger 
- Harmony Bridge was secured by a 2 of 5 multisig which was compromised through unknown methods, though social engineering was suspected
- Multichain’s private keys were a ‘multisig’ effectively held by one person

Given these vulnerabilities, the **Verification** step in the bridging process is much better served by trust-minimized methods that rely on code and math.

This is where **Consensus Proofs** come in as a potential solution. The approach relies on a prover **verifying blockchain consensus** of the source chain and using zero knowledge proofs to attest to validity of a transaction before releasing funds to a destination.

That’s a lot to unpack, so let’s first define what we mean by *verifying blockchain consensus*.

**Verifying the source blockchain’s state / ‘consensus’**

At their core, blockchains are ledgers that record transactions between accounts maintained by nodes that do not trust each other. Since there are many nodes validating a blockchain network, agreement must be reached amongst these validators on which block is the most recently added one, i.e. they must reach **‘consensus’** on the latest state.

Reliably verifying source chain consensus on the destination chain is key to bridging because if you can **verify** the latest block of the source chain in a trust-minimized manner, you determine the latest ‘truth’ and then have the comfort to **execute** a corresponding action on the destination chain.

For bridging, the protocol needs to determine that a ‘deposit’ transaction on the source chain was validly made. In practice this involves verifying two things:

- ***Step 1. Verifying blockchain consensus***, i.e. that the block we’re querying is a valid part of the source chain’s world state; and
- ***Step 2. Check that the specific transaction***, i.e. the  ‘deposit’ transaction is included in the block (this can be proven with a [Merkle Inclusion proof](https://ethereum.org/en/developers/tutorials/merkle-proofs-for-offline-data-integrity/))

Upon verification of both, the destination chain can release assets to the user.

Voila, assets bridged.

In theory this sounds simple, but the tricky part is step 1: it is not so easy for a smart contract on one chain to verify the consensus of another (typically Ethereum as the source chain).

**Current challenges with verifying consensus for bridging**

The first challenge to point out is that different blockchains have different consensus mechanisms and proving consensus on each source chain requires very specific engineering work to set up. This means the verifying consensus step will need to be customized for each source chain. For now let’s focus on proving Ethereum consensus given it has the lion’s share of TVL and is the typical L1 that users bridge from.

Ethereum has a large validator set of 700,000+ out of which more than 21,000 validators vote on a block in a slot. To achieve finality, a block should get votes from the ⅔ of the validator set which is roughly equivalent to 450,000 validator votes. Verifying full consensus would mean checking the validity of 450,000 signatures.

A less cumbersome method of checking Ethereum’s consensus involves the ‘light client protocol’. This uses a sync committee (512 validators selected at random every 27.3 hours) to attest that the latest block proposed is valid. Here, verifying consensus means checking the validity of 512 aggregated signatures.

In a bridging context, a smart contract on the destination chain can use the light client protocol and act as an on-chain ‘light client’ to verify the latest state of the source chain and ensure a ‘deposit’ was made. If satisfied, the smart contract releases funds on the destination chain.

This approach is not very practical because verifying 512 aggregated signatures directly in a smart contract on-chain is prohibitively costly without pre-compiles given Ethereum validators use[ BLS signatures](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BLS_digital_signature).

The key to making this possible then, is taking the verification step off-chain...

… and this is where **Consensus Proofs** come in.

### **The Solution: Consensus Proofs of the sync committee signatures**

Zero knowledge proofs have emerged as a viable solution to help blockchains take costly computations off-chain and verify the result on-chain. This allows a bridging smart contract on the destination chain to move costly computations (like validating source chain consensus) to an off-chain zero knowledge prover:

- The prover will verify the signature and generate a **Consensus Proof** - i.e. a succinct zero-knowledge proof that attests that the block is the next valid block, as it has received ⅔ of sync committee attestations. This proof verifies the source blockchain’s consensus (***Step 1.** from above*).
- Once the validity of a block is proven, we can prove that a transaction was part of this block (***Step 2.** from above*) using Merkle inclusion proofs. (Alternatively, a zero-knowledge proof can be generated off-chain and verified by a smart contract on the destination chain for the same purpose).

After these two steps, the destination smart contract can safely release funds on the destination chain.

Using Consensus Proofs to verify source blockchain state is an important step towards trust-minimized bridging, but relying on the light client protocol & 512 validators has some limitations (highlighted in the table below).

As such, some teams are working on proving *full* ethereum consensus, which is a complex task and would involve verifying 450,000 signatures at the time of writing. Doing so in a zero knowledge circuit is no mean feat - but teams like [Polyhedra Network](https://polyhedra.network/) and [Succinct](https://blog.succinct.xyz/blog/sync-committee) have committed to achieving this.

Polyhedra Network recently [announced](https://polyhedra.medium.com/proving-full-node-of-ethereum-in-zk-c7ffaaa688dd) that they managed to verify 21,000 validator signatures that sign a block at a given slot in ZK and are working toward verifying all 450,000 signatures. More details on their approach and proving system can be found in their zkBridge [paper](https://dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/3548606.3560652).

Once we can verify full Ethereum consensus in zero-knowledge, verifying consensus of other chains with smaller validator sets in zero-knowledge should be relatively straightforward.

### **Risks of using zero knowledge proofs**

While zero knowledge tech & Consensus Proofs solve for human fallibility, the discussion would be incomplete without acknowledging some of the risks that arise with using them in bridging.

Zero-knowledge technology is rapidly changing, as novel algorithms and systems continue to emerge. Some of these implementations are unaudited and could contain vulnerabilities, making them susceptible to potential exploits when significant incentives arise. Furthermore, even after audits, such complex cryptographic systems may contain undiscovered attack vectors which will be identified and rectified over time, to reach a matured, battle-hardened state.

Moreover, it remains to be seen at what transaction volume does the expense of generating and verifying zero-knowledge proofs become sufficiently amortized to be deemed cost-effective.

### **The teams building**

To conclude, we’ll highlight some of the players building solutions in this space. While they have slightly differing approaches and go-to-markets they are pushing the limits of what zk-based bridging can do and heralding the emergence of trust-minimized interoperability.

Among them we have:

- [Polyhedra Network](https://polyhedra.network/) who have been designing and implementing the [zkBridge](https://arxiv.org/abs/2210.00264) protocol, and can be used to attest to another chain’s state. zkBridge currently supports bridging across more than 20 L1s and L2s, including Ethereum, Polygon, Binance Smart Chain, Optimism, Arbitrum. Polyhedra Network has integrated both sync committee based proofs and full consensus based proofs with LayerZero to facilitate zk-based bridging. 

- [Succinct Labs](https://www.succinct.xyz/) who have been developing zk-based light clients to attest to Ethereum’s state and facilitate bridging between Gnosis Chain & Ethereum as source chains and Gnosis, Arbitrum, Avax, Binance Smart Chain, Optimism and Polygon as destination chains

**Conclusion**

Interoperability is a core part of blockchain infrastructure. The first innings of bridging saw trust mechanisms underpinned by multisigs and compromised by reliance on humans. We’re now starting to move into the realm of bridges being secured by cryptography and math made feasible by the application of zero-knowledge proofs in the context of bridging.

In this part we covered how Consensus Proofs help solve for bridging by checking the latest finalized source blockchain consensus.

This technology, however, can be extended further to check **historical** consensus which enables more flexible cross-chain use cases beyond just bridging at the moment. And that is what we’ll explore in Part III of our series on Interoperability: Storage Proofs & the use cases they unlock.
