### What is Atticc?

Теперь мы видим страницу с множеством заданий, каждое задание имеет показатель дневное или еженедельное, а также стоимость в поинтах. Вспоминаем, что билет стоит 500 поинтов, и сразу выделяем 2 ежедневных задания: **Collect an EssenceNFT и Create an EssenceNFT.**

*In this post, we will take a close look at the method of calculating profits and losses (PnL) used in the 1inch Wallet’s recent upgrade.*

For crypto traders and investors, accurate and up-to-date portfolio information is vital. Therefore, in the 1inch Wallet’s recently released new version for Android, the Portfolio feature was added. It allows users to run complete wallet-driven asset management, monitor real-time and overall token performance and optimize their investments, also displaying a full picture of their portfolio activity at any time.

In the Portfolio feature, 1inch employs a formula for calculating a user’s PnL over any specific period of time. To facilitate calculations, three elements are required: a complete transaction history, the traded asset’s price for each transaction and the asset’s current value in USD.

And this is the formula:

PnL= Current Value − Inflow Value + Outflow Value

Current Value is the current worth of the user’s asset.

Inflow Value is the total amount the user invested.

Outflow Value is the total amount the user withdrew.

ROI= PnL / Inflow Value

Let’s consider a real-world example.

Meet Bob, a blockchain trader. Bob made 3 trades:

On January 1, 2023, he bought 100 tokens at $1 each.

On March 10, 2023, he bought another 50 tokens at $2 each.

On May 12, 2023, he sold 60 tokens at $2.5 each.

Now, let's help Bob calculate his PnL and ROI.

Suppose, the token’s current price is $1.5. Here's how Bob’s PnL is calculated:

Current Value: (100 + 50 - 60) * 1.5 = $135

Inflow Value: 100 * 1 + 50 * 2 = $200

Outflow Value: 60 * 2.5 = $150

PnL = 135 - 200 + 150 = $85

ROI = 85 / 200 = 42.5%

In simple terms, Bob invested $200, withdrew $150 and could withdraw another $135, making his total $285. His current gain is $85.

ROI tells traders how much they earned per dollar invested. In this example, Bob gained $1.425 for each dollar he invested.

I want to share with you the mistakes that I have identified along the way and which, I believe, can become fatal in a trader's career.

Let's take a look at the first one today.

1. **Overtrading is the path to burnout.**

Just like in any other profession, it is necessary to adhere to the labor norm in order to avoid negative consequences. Excessive trading is fraught with sad consequences for the trader: the occurrence of fatigue, a drop in productivity, emotional exhaustion. All this directly affects the trading decisions made. A series of unsuccessful trades can lead to a significant impact on the trading deposit, and in some cases, its complete liquidation. In advanced situations, it is possible to form a negative attitude towards work, and, as a result, a complete rejection of it. In order to avoid the above consequences, it is necessary to allocate working hours within the day and within the week and strictly control it.

2. **Monitoring and analysis of price action on a lower timeframe and/or one timeframe.**

Probably every neophyte trader, as well as an experienced one, began his trading day with an attempt to catch a successful price movement on a lower timeframe, suitable for the criteria of his trading model, which most often turned out to be a failure. Working exclusively with lower timeframes or choosing a specific timeframe for analysis leads to an erroneous idea of ​​market conditions and cuts off important elements of price action. Chart analysis should be performed from the older timeframe to the younger one and vice versa, if necessary. Minute timeframes reflect a more detailed picture of market movements, but focusing solely on them deprives the trader of full information and a global perspective, plunging into the noise of volatile information.

3. **Scaling the graph, depriving the view of the left side.**

Approaching charts to any specific segment during the marking period as part of the analysis, as well as searching for a trading pattern in a narrow section of the chart (as described in the second paragraph), cut off important information on the left side of the chart, on the basis of which trading decisions are made. In addition, it is worth noting that another bad habit can be compulsive scrolling of charts, which leads to physical fatigue, distraction of attention, and thus to ill-considered actions.

4. **Short stop order.**

Using a short stop loss order can be singled out as one of the most common mistakes made. The reason is simple and understandable to everyone - by reducing the size of the protective order, the trader wants to benefit more from the market movement. It often happens that the trading idea turns out to be correct, but the market moves in the required direction only after the activation of a protective order. This phenomenon is especially true for the foreign exchange market, which is not as accurate as, for example, the futures market. When placing a stop loss order, you should always take into account the broker's spread, the specifics of the market maker's manipulations (raids in certain price ranges), and also do not exclude the factor of a short-term surge in volatility.

5. **Excessive use of the trading deposit.**

Which statement is true: “the more I invest, the more I earn” or “the more I invest, the more I lose”?

The neophyte trader is guided by the first rule, and the professional - by the second. Fixation on the result in terms of money and the desire to earn as much as possible in a shorter period of time can be safely attributed to the characteristics of a gambler - a gambler, rather than a trader. A professional is able to repeatedly increase his deposit due to constancy, income recapitalization and long-term orientation.

6. **Refusal of partial profit fixing.**

By neglecting the use of partial takes, the trader not only gives up the potential of the market, but also deprives himself of income as such. The market does not always reach the end goal, but often offers an opportunity to capitalize on a move that has formed. The use of the method of partial position fixation is mandatory for the trader, since we work with probabilities. Our task is to take chips off the table and take profits from the market if it allows us to do this, and not to prove the correctness of our own decisions.

7. **Desire to understand every market move.**

Every trader needs to understand for himself the fact that the market does not always move in a manner that we understand and are not always in favorable conditions for profit. During periods of uncertainty, it is worth abandoning trading, since at such a time there is a high probability of making a stupid mistake, when the market is not very predictable, and trading patterns have a high risk characteristic. We are only interested in favorable periods - it is then that confident decisions are made and activity in the auction is manifested.

8. **Excessive criticism in your address, forming unwanted behavioral attitudes.**

A series of unsuccessful transactions, incorrect analysis, technical errors and other inevitable situations that one has to deal with faced by every trader - in no case should they become a reason for excessive and unreasonable criticism in their address. This form of feedback with oneself will not lead to the search for balanced solutions, but, on the contrary, will reinforce the wrong idea of oneself as a loser and a weakling, form a system of “stubs” - whenever faced with difficulties, an inner voice filled with bitterness will respond.

9. **Attachment to someone else's success.**

By becoming attached to other traders and their achievements, a trader establishes a close connection with them: with their opinions, decisions, successes and defeats, thereby depriving oneself of an impartial view of the market and wasting mental capital. Such a model of behavior can even result in imitation, which, of course, is self-deception. At the moment when the one to whom you were attached to lose success or it turns out that he was not at all what he seemed to others, your inner stability will be undermined and devastation will come.

10. **High expectations.**

Expectations must be down to earth, otherwise, in case of failure, they cause frustration. Inflated goals can lead to rash decisions and bad deals. Setting too high a goal for the week, and if you can’t reach it by the deadline, this can cause you to deviate from the plan and force things to happen. Grounded expectations should be not only within the framework of the speculative component, but also in general from the profession as such. Expensive sports cars, villas, branded clothing and travel - all these benefits that trading is associated with are not achievable for everyone at once. In the event that your results do not meet your expectations and plans, you will understand that it is time to prioritize correctly.
